My saniplus unit is beginning to let water build up in the sink and shower, and sometimes doesn't pump after a flush. And it is making loud noises for longer than it used to after a flush.
Sometimes it sounds like it's beginning to fail, as the cutting blade sounds like it's about to cut out. And it has simply cut out a couple of times, only to activate again about 5 mins later.
Any advice? It is bleached regularly with the power off, then flushing if that helps.

does this unit need to be vented to operate? 2 way air flow, no cheater vent? i have no easy access to a vent without compromising the vent on the first floor. Can I vent it directly outside and if so should it be extended up and above the roof line?

Do you need a p trap on the shower drain when using the saniflo saniaccess3?

Hmm, to clean it I usually put bleach into the toilet, turn off the saniplus unit and flush the toilet, and leave it for around an hour and then turn it on again so it pumps the water back up.
But yeah, it is sometimes not pumping water up like it should, hence water builds up in the sink etc.
I guess I will have to open it up and take a look :(
