I live in Phoenix, Arizona now...back when I was growing up in Detroit my favorite aunt (my mom's sister) basically helped raise me. When my mom called me, here in Phoenix, a few years back, to tell me my aunt was dying, I was beside myself. I knew I couldn't get back there in time to so I asked my mom to lay the phone down beside her in the hospital... I told my aunt how much I loved her. I thanked her for raising me. And I told her someday.....someday, we'd see each other again. She passed away that night. My mom called me back to tell me but as soon as she said the words I got so choked up I couldn't talk and I had to go.
