Thank you for watching. If you have a Linn DSM then I recommend the Urika II phono stage using Exakt technology. If you are using a non-Linn system then you have the choice of the Linn Urika phono stage or an external third-party phono stage. @@ripcastercouk I have a Select DSM but also still a Mark Levinson Pre-Amp. So I ask myself what would be the better choice in terms of sound quality. Use the Urika II via the Select and get rid of the Pre Amp. Or use an analog phono amp and the pre.

We agreed not to share the number of the LP12-50 pror to making the video. We have made a number of LP12-50s and the serial numbers have not been sequential. i.e. some customers chose numbers significant to them....
- Rounded corners and different finish on the top plate. - New circular design on/off 33/45 switch. - Rounded armbroad corners on the Keel sub-chassis. - Redesigned lid hinges and badge. - Bedrok plinth .... and 1 in 250 exclusivity.
1) The Plinth (and early access) - $$$ 2) Jonny Ives design (updated, rounded aesthetic) - taste The “early access” plinth refers to the fact that the new plinth is only available through the anniversary edition until all anniversary editions are delivered to customers. The new plinth will be available generally once Linn delivers the final 50th anniversary turntable.
@@joerama The LP12-50 is an exclusive limited edition of 250. I don't expect any of the components to become available as upgrades to standard LP12. I do expect lessons to be learned from the LP12-50 into new components for the standard LP12. I also expect Linn to update the plinth options available in the future. I won't be 'Bedrok" (too difficult to mass produce) - but possibly an evolution of that materail/construction.
If you can spend this kind of money for a turntable I would suspect it to be assembled by the experts of the manufacturer and to be delivered and installed at home of the customer.
That’s what the dealers are for and, as you suggest, that’s also why Linn dealers are a rarefied breed (like Ripcaster). Thanks to ripcaster for lifting the curtain on what happens between showroom delivery and customer delivery. As you might guess, Linn has very few dealers since very few could be entrusted with such TLC for the final mile.
Nice 👍
50K though?
Very nice video, btw. do you recommend the Urika II phono stage or would you prefer an external, most likely analogue phono stage?

@ripcaster I am curious… could you share which number turntable this was, and was it just delivered (or was this recorded some time ago)?

Rounded corners makes it £25000 more, than klimax,i don't think so

I am happy I don't have $$$$$ to spend on that. Looks nice but.....
