I just upgraded my 2013 F25 BMW X3 xDrive28i with the Stage One speaker upgrade from Bavsound and got the Ghost subs, they were sold out of the Amp so I went with the Kenwood Excelon XR901-5 and I could not be more pleased. The sound is so much better than the stock speakers. If you are thinking about upgrading your beam. I recommend Bavsound.
You'll be very impressed by the amp, I had the older amp they had and with just the stock speakers it made a big difference in sound quality much more clearer
Great video - you hit the nail right on the head. HK is NOT a premium sound, it's very muddy and missing clarity. More so on the 2022 version I'm afraid. BMW should be ashamed, as should HK since they allow their brand to be ruined in may people's eyes.
the AMP you mention is not going to be made for the E46 so you won't see the benefit of having an updated amp from BAVSOUND. They are also not making any subwoofer speakers for the E46.
Great video! I’m not very impressed with just the Stage 1 speakers and the stock HK amp in my F80 comp. I feel like the bass lines are a bit distorted and blurry sounding at higher volumes. Do the Bavsound Subs help with this? Considering upgrading the subs to bavsound next. Also, how durable are the Bavsound Stage 1’s? They wouldn’t be easily damageable or prone to becoming less clear and more distorted over a 1 year period (never played at full volume) I feel like they have always had a les crisp bass line sound as high volumes when playing rap/hop-hop, EDM etc. I’ve honestly never been too impressed, unfortunately. Just not clear enough. Thank you!!
Nice comparison. You are absolutely right, better equipment can record and reproduce sound more detailed and precise. I was watching your e46 comparison before, while I`m retrofitting H/K to my sedan. Let`s see, how it turns out. To me, the sound difference has a clear cause: mass production. H/K is producing in large quantities for multiple car brands. So inprovements on sound quality and materials have to withstand the pressure of the market. That`s why Bang&Olufsen or Bowers&Wilkins cost a ridiculous amount of money. They archieve their ideas, but cost is no barrier to them. Same is here.... good materials and engineering make a difference. But so does music. If you play differnet styles of music (synthe sounds, 80s rock or real classical music) you can really find out for which one the system has been tuned. And that makes a difference on the systems. H/K is tuned for classical or radio pop music in Europe. Nothing to bass heavy. Could be different on the North America setups.. Anyway, appreciate your videos. Go on!!
Thank you for the kind comment. I couldn’t agree more B&O is one of my favorite manufacturers and unfortunately I could not find a f10 with the B&O system in it.
My e39 does not have dsp. Does anyone know if I throw in the bigger amp from a dsp car into mine would it make a difference sound quality wise with these bavsound speakers? Or would it not work at all
@@EvanGoyuk i mean for sound comparison better mixing both sounds by parts, in this case you should place one record of harman speaker and right after Bav speaker record so you can hear difference, because you still remember previous sound
Just installed speakers on E90 M sport base system and what a difference. The cheap factory speakers are an embarrassment on a BMW. Shame on BMW for a $56k car. very simple to install door cards come of easily. Fantastic sound I was hesitant at first but now I feel they are worth the money I paid for them plus black friday discount,
even through a video on youtube using computer speakers the sound is clearly different and much cleaner. i dont know about how much LOUDER but the Extra LOUDNESS could be a result of less distortion and "static"? IDK. but im looking into upgrading my speakers and i just made my decision.
Bavsound are that good but better than OEM. Need to get Audison speakers, put an amp in the trunk and a sub in the back will make a day night difference.

Thanks so much for the information! Now we no longer 'unarmed' when we start shopping. Thank you!

I’m pumped for the new amp to be released

No i have not pre-ordered it yet.

Hi Evan, great video! What was the first song played in this video? I’m starting this retrofit next week. Thank again!
Hi, do Bavsound HP allow good spectral balance and good stereo feeling with the logic7 OFF ? Thanks
Well done, good info...Live long and prosper.
Can I put 5.25 instead of 4 inch ?
pls do this for the e46
I have an install video and first impressions video on bavsound in my e46 if you have not checked it out yet!
Has the amp came out yet
March! Very excited
Great video
You should have mixed both speakers one by one so you can remember the previous sound
What do you mean?

Bav sound is awesome the only thing better is bang and Olsen system.
Its better then the Harman kardon (logic 7) ? Or Hifi Proffesional ALL THE SAME FOR F10
I heard Bang & Olufsen is pretty good too
@@evenquote banging the Olsen’s is actually really good. Especially if you can get both of them at the same time.
@@StreetRocketJoe Not sure who they are sir. I've only heard of the Olufsen twins

BAVSOUND IS THE BEST, their return policy is legit. Bimmertech is just a cheap Chinese made relabeled item but extremely overpriced.
