I have always love “The Scout, friend or foe”. The scene captures a winter night. I feel as though, I am there, but also the solitude of this wonderful painting. I used to have this framed in the living room. It somehow got lost over the years. I want another one.
At about 27:46 you made a rather disparaging comment when you implied Indians had (past tense) dignity but no longer have dignity. I know what you meant, I'm sure you meant no disrespect, but it does illustrate how we still have feelings about " them," and "us". Please, everyone, let's all show more respect for each other. Otherwise, I really enjoyed your video. I have been to the Codey museum and have see some Remingtons. How fortunate that such a talent was able to capture that shirt but golden time in our history.
Just recently picked up a 12 1/2" Gorham fine china plate of"A new year on the cimarron" at a garage sale for $ 5.00. There only worth around $35.00 on line. But it's the only FSR I have. And too me it's priceless 🏜️🐎🤠👍
Great great video
Saw some of his work in OK at a museum. What a fascinating artist.

Just bought a nice framed print of “friend or foe” for $10 at goodwill. I love it and hope it appreciates.
Very interesting...well narrated ...
