54 yrs. Ago, at the age of 4, my Dad carried me up Mt. Rainier to the most Beautiful ice Cave, of LIVING WATERS!!! RUSHING RUNBOLING BENEITH MY FEET, ALL HUGHS OF TURQOUSE, PINKS AND BLUES, IT MOVED ME UP THE MOUNTIAN TOWARDS FATHER YHWH'S PARADISE!!!
Wow...absolutely breathtaking. Just hiked up to Glacier Vista yesterday. This video makes me want more. Great eye for the many-faceted beauty that is Mount Rainier!
Magnificent scenery. I truly appreciate how the music compliments the video and doesn't overwhelm it. I recently watched two MR vids with music that was so tedious and bothersome that I muted it and put on music more to my liking. You are to be commended. My daughter lives in Port Townsend, WA and a few years back I stood on a high hill transfixed by the sight of Rainier 125+ miles away. I'd love to hike the 97 mile trail around it. Hopefully soon. Thanks for posting this gem. You lucky dogs.
Is this a somewhat known, albeit unmaintained route? Or did you simply find your own route? Beautiful video (what kind of camcorder?). Only one negative: sad to see how far the Paradise Glacier has retreated in only my short lifetime.

This is now 6 years old. That was probably the last time it was so clear and dry. Snow level has been down to Paradise for several years in a row.

Any recommendation along any of the rivers like Nisqually or others were I could go far away from anyone else to camp that has beautiful scenery, waterfall, Deep River lagoons excetera? Used to go to these places all the time with my dad but he died 20 years ago and I fear I'll never find them again :-(

Paradise Glacier caving is undoubtedly best for a tourist. I'm
not and reside 30 miles from the caldera of another volcano
that has what Mount Rainier also hides. Go figure.
