Bands here in the Philippines are kinda underrated. They don't get famous like let's say One direction. They don't get to be on Television. They may be like guestings but here in the Philippines they mostly focus on solo singers.
I know. In america, i dont see that many filipino singers as well. If they do have, some hides their race or their company make it exempted in their career. But it's really sad because filipino bands/singers/vocalists/musicians are so talented but only stayed popular locally.
One Direction is from a TV singing competition so ofc the industry will help them
"Battle of the Bands" is often a thing in High School and Colleges/Universities celebrations.

Most of the bands in Philippines starts from bars. Ever after they become famous you'll still find them playing in bars.

efra is correct in pronouncing the band name..
The bands name is not filipino its in english so its natural they pronounced it correctly.
@@kurukongho2847 but Magnus is not an English word..it is a Latin word, but not pronounce as what Efra had pronounced it..it is pronounced as "Manio" in Latin pronunciation, which means "Great" in English term..but Efra just pronounced it as how we Filipinos pronounce it.

music here in the Philippines is very deep.from pop,ballad,rap,alternative rock,rnb etc..they're all good singers & you're both right you could really the musicalities.

A lot of bands go to other southeast asian countries like hong kong, singapore, thailand, etc. In singapore, they even have a law to put at least 1 singaporean before they would give permit for filipino bands to play in SG

filipino bands are in demand abroad since the 1970's...filipino bands are found in the uae (where i am right now - most hotels have pinoy bands), thailand, malaysia, singapore, guam, japan, oman, etc...

Even so many Bands here in the Philippines, They were all appreciated and supported by the listeners, Friendly competition matters , No matter what type of music they bring, all can exist, Every year we have BATTLE OF THE BANDS HERE IN THE PHILIPPINES, IN AN OPEN FIELD, JAMMING, DANCING LIVE, MISS THAT THIS TIME OF PANDEMIC, 🙏🙏🙏
They pretty much started at a well known restobar in the Philippines called "Route196". This song was written by the bassist, Rey Maestro, while he was going through a break up. Well, most of their song was written by Rey lol. As I was watching this video, you guys seemed to also enjoy the keyboardist, David Galang's voice, so do go check out their song,"Panalangin." It's more or less a wedding song teehee. The lead guitarist and I believe the drummer as well as the vocalist, Louise Rafael Vaflor, Sean Espejo and Rajih Mendoza, started through a segment on a show called "Music Hero." AYO IF ANY MAGNUS ANGELS ARE OUT THERE, DO CORRECT ME LOL.

Band scene is almost dead, just trying to stay afloat with the old 90s kids like us who remember and constantly listen to those older bands. I'm so glad and I treasure these new bands that are coming up like Magnus Haven. They are the new generation who is keeping this alive. But from 1997-ish until 2010, the band scene was just beautiful. You heard songs like this in every radio station and even American mainstream pop was completely overshadowed. You get bands joining the scene every minute. Even in high school, groups within classrooms form their own bands, and kids bring guitars and ipods to school as part of their uniforms (unofficially). I miss those years
