Actually whats great about the singing culture in the philippines is everyone is encouraged to sing and even if you're out of tune no one will get mad, sometimes the other good singers will sing along to correct the tune and the one singing will follow the correct tune..
very true and I do relate 😅 I always love to encourage people to sing. I have a new friend and 1 of my cousin is really out of tune but u know I look the song for them which I think they can sing well. And i teach them to sing (thou I'm not a vocal coach) and luckily they're doing great singing those songs I choose for them in a Videoke. The problem is that's the only song they can sing really well 😅
Yeah we have this neighbor that doesn’t sing well but we don’t really mind, except there was this time he was singing at the time were people are suppose to asleep and my grandpa was so annoyed he started cussing the neighbor.😅
Efra and his pillow 🤣🤣🤣 can someone from the Filipino Community in London invite these two with their Mama and Papa to experience a Filipino Party??? 😁😁😁
There's a saying that Filipino audience are the hardest to please when it comes to singing....they don't clap that easily when a performer (singer or musician) does his thing, it should be...it must be very very very good to earn a decent clap from the Pinoys 😁
The first guy in the second vid, Jovit Baldevino is actually the first Pinoy Got Talent champion ( first season )...the same competition where Marcelito Pomoy won in the second season....
Whenever you guys get the chance to come to the Philippines, you will hear music being played EVERYWHERE. Wether it be someone blasting the radio, someone singing kareokee in the streets, or cashiers singing as they do their job. It’s so common. Music in general (including dancing) is what makes the long hours go by faster.
Guys, you have just added another layer to the local mantra in the PH... "It's More fun in the Philippines!" Singing (or learning how to sing) is more fun in the PH. You have always asked "can you imagine what they (the person singing) can do in a less hostile environment and a better mic? Now my question to you is can you picture them if they had some (small as it maybe) technical training? All this viral videos only shows you level of skill that is available there... it's like an endless revolving door of talents.... As always, many thanks, I truly enjoy your analytical (yet not boring) in a very layman way of explaining things! I see a trip to the PH in your near future!!! All the best!!!
Whether Filipino or not, you always give amazing explanation. Very informative that I learned to listen to a voice almost same as how you review. Not to be judgemental but to view it objectively. Why a voice sounded like that, what is the culture, what is the background, who are the artists that laid the foundation and who the singer is trying to emulate including her input, of her own or from different influences. Thank you for always sharing your fabulous thoughts❤️
No problem in the Philippines. Almost all the Filipinos wants to be in cameras. The Philippines is the most friendliest to all vloggers. Just be an open mind because they will ask you many questions just to know you more and your channel and not to spy in your personal life. They dont care if your camera take their faces. Maybe willcome to you and ask your channel to add become your follower and they proud to show to other filipino that have you their picture in your channel. We are positive thinker people. Not always thinking bad to others, that they always do.
The guy next beside the one who sung "she's gone" is Jovit Baldivino, he is the first winner of Philippines Got Talent. The boy who's with the two girls is John Clyd Talili, he is the winner of Tawag ng tanghalan kids edition. You can search them in RUclips and you'll be amaze with their voices.
Hello Erfa & Waleska I happen to view this vid of yours go back two yrs ago. I learned a lot from you guys on explaining things on singing techniques, singing such be fun, etc. Thank you for putting in words in explaining stuff. At an early age I too loved to sing. I’m a Filipina but now in USA in the East coast - New York/New Jersey for 40 yrs now since 1984. - living longer here than in the Phil. Yes, singing is natural for us but not all can sing. Here in our side of the world we have choir groups, chorales, or a Filipino band are created to continue our God given talents in music. Not all can read the notes of a music sheet. But more of “OIDO”. Even harmonizing is learned by listening well the instruments when a chord is played. It gives me a lot of pleasure listening & watching you and laughing while explaining. That’s how you got over a million subscribers including me. It’s a lot of fun. MUCHOS GRACIAS.
Philippines love music and a singing country, really. Whether it's mere talent or you're one of the few who's a little off tune, Filipinos just love to sing it! It's like the Filipino smiles amidst the rough times of our lives. (btw, Sir Efra, it's not everyday that I see you with that curly hair.. you look gorgeous, as always :) Ms. Waleska, you're always gorgeous.. and i admire both of you you're both on my top fav reactors because you don't just react but you give sound comments and educate us about music, culture, and all. More power to both of you!!! )
My 4 years old daughter really love to sing so everytime she sing even were in the grocery and she's sitting in our cart. I always encouraged her and tell her that she's a great singer and it made her happy and the people around us hearing her singing encourage her too and keep on telling her that "ow, your so great!"
Walesa & Efra, gud day. Am a Filipino (& Chinese, too). What's amazing with this vlog in review is that the child (barely ,4, 5 or 6) is singing a song that hit the billboard chart 60 YEARS AGO. Beautiful Sunday was a big success in mid (or late) 60's during my elementary (or primary) school days. Am now a senior citizen @63. Obviously, his parents or community neighbors - the seniors, are still much with the oldies (but goodies) hits. That song became a hit right after Elvis Presley and the world-famed boy band - THE BEATLES, have successfully brought to the world their rock & rolls style of singing.. The Beatles performed in the Philippines in the late 60's (must be 1968?) At that time my fave is still the ballad - Born Free. Nice reviews and am too is amazed at your comments and your appreciation to PFilipinos' (raw) talent in singing - using their karaoke system. Have a great day and GOD BLESS to both of you and your family.
This was a typical weekend with us way back when we were kids. Our Mom would gather everyone in the house with her guitar and taught us how to enjoy singing. She would give each one of us a tune then we cover our ears and started to sing our parts. That's how I learned to harmonize. Those were good memories for me. And that's a NORMAL life in the Philippines! 😁😁😁
What makes it more fascinating is the fact that that little kid probably can't even read the lyrics on the karaoke machine just yet. He was literally just imitating what he hears when listening to that song, and that's amazing.
6:10 the guy in black was the winner of the first Pilipinas Got Talent. his name is Jovit Baldivino. 24:19 the boy is the winner of TNT kids, Jhon Clyde Talili. the season in which the TNT boys-mackie, kiefer & francis-were runners-up.
I’ve been following this channel since less than 100k subs and now it’s almost 600k, wow. Congrats guys!! Proud Filipina here watching from South Korea with love❤️
Love the lighter hair color on both of you. A carefree mind learns easier. If one has to remember so many rules just to produce a sound, it more likely will sound unnatural (contrived). One can be technically correct but not enjoyable because the feeling is not there. While singing from the heart will affect somebody in the audience and feel a more personal stake in the performance. I think.
This is how the filipinos sing well, they start very young, some mothers say they play music or sing to the baby while still in the womb so he/ she may understand tempo, beats, pitch, key…. Which really makes sense.
Filipinos deep love for music + Having superhuman artists setting the bar so high, of course the young ones will excel and evolve also. Hahaha! Music is etched in every Filipino's soul. It destroys boundaries that's why you'll see that in every event/party, no matter what your gender is, no matter how weird you look, no matter how young you are, if you can create music well, people will always acknowledge your brilliance. Having you guys appreciate our music and exceptional artists is really heart-warming. Thanks for appreciating our souls. God bless guys!
So far, this is the only the reaction that has substance and essence bec you talk about technicalities and everything. Apart from the theory and truth about singing here in the Philippines, you also check the depth of it. 2 thumbs up. 👍👍
A good day waleska & Efra. You are always excited to feature Filipinos Raw Talents like these..with no much sound effects..Live..and on the unexpected places ! Thank you as always guys pls. Help Pray for us that our next President would be truly the Man choosen by our Sovereign Creator..so that aside from Filipino talents, Philippines will be featured to the world in aspect of Excellent Governance far exceeding all the previous ones.
Jonathan Trofagos!! 🤣🤣😂😂😂🤣🤣 Rolling on the floor , laughing so hard my belly is hurting . Juggling 😂😂😂😂You both are a great pair . mostly simultaneous on your reactions and gestures! whenever i’m feeling melancholic i probably will just turn on to your channel and you will bring a smile to my day!!!
Waleska voice in saying "Ang Galing" was so cute .. Anyways. In the 2nd video the guy"Rock star" has a Band and he's the vocalist , his Band Name is "Ice Bucket"..The guy in his side is a Famous singer here in the Philippines he is Jovit.
Singing together is a sibling quality time... I'm so used to harmonizing and my siblings always knows when to cue to me... They point low if they want me to lower the song because I am always the one who sets the tone. 😂 All of us siblings sings on the choir and I'm the one who has the most experience of it because I've been singing everyday, man... Every single day and I love just vibing and sometimes I get carried on singing, I get my throat sore for several days. 🤦♀️ And that song, pangarap ko? My favourite since a kid and used to freaking annoy my siblings with it. 😂
You are exactly right on your point among the mother/daughter/son singing time as part of their play and practice. My son was (and still is) great in chess. He started playing chess when he was only 6 years old, and he could have ended up a grandmaster. However, as you he was, he was only into play, but got exasperated by the rigid training he did not continue. Maybe if I could have just encouraged him like what the mother did in the video, he may have ended up being a grandmaster.
keyboards, acoustic and electric guitars - now I know, these young men were done for the practice for the day and they were just chilling and decided to relax with singing, crazy!!!!
i’m laughing so hard tears are rolling down my cheeks. you both are so funny but very very perceptive and witty. I love your reaction, opinions, observations, suggestions and your very generous compliments. love that your keeping it real. keep it coming. Salamat ( Thank you)

"It's so easy to fall in love with someone that sounds like that." I do agree to that. I do easily get attracted with people that have good singing voice.
You guys made me laugh here and there for each funny reaction you made in between. And woahhh.. you learned to speak few Tagalog words doing your reaction videos. Now, that's amazing. ✌️💪
when in a drinking session, yes we clap and give a thumbs up to singers like this. BUT... when a singer goes out of tune, that is when we jump and celebrate because that's more fun and it is all about having fun. :)
Hi! Guys in our office, 70% of the employee can sing good and amazing, even our Boss loves to sing with us "It's really more fun in the Philippines, especially in singing and you can see it everywhere even with or without occasion.
It's really just a normal scene here in ph. Singing in videoke is just a past time and you can hear so high voices everywhere and it's not surprising anymore.

Hi Waleska, watching here in UK, the second video singing "He's Gone"... (first man) is Jovit Baldevino who won Philippines Got Talent (I think) the second batch...
the second clip includes, singer, Jovit Baldivino, the one with the husky voice. he's the grand winner of Pilipinas GotTalent (if I'm not miataken), the one hosted by Vice Ganda and others (if i remember it right)
It's so common in most houses to have an instrument like a guitar, especially in the Visayas (Cebu is famous for guitar making industry) and middle-range and well-to-do families have a piano. But, nowadays, almost every family has a karaoke machine.
Hi Waleska and Efra please try to react the police band or teacher's band in the Philippines or any group of employees or officers...to go deeper in exploring the amount of singing talent in our country...❤️❤️❤️🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
Actually whats great about the singing culture in the philippines is everyone is encouraged to sing and even if you're out of tune no one will get mad, sometimes the other good singers will sing along to correct the tune and the one singing will follow the correct tune..

Yes I agree..

Agree! With Waleska’s favourite lechon!
How about a filipino childrens's party in jollibee london
Thanks for this reaction! Waleska, you nailed the phrase "ang galing!" You are very magaling ^^

spot on!
Filipino audience are the noisiest bunch while in concert. They are talking and talking and talking while the singer is singing his / her hearts out.

The boy kid who sang Pangarap ko Ang Ibigin ka was the Grand Champion of Tawag ng Tanghalan Kids. Where he was the rival of the TNT BOYS.
