Oh, I didn't know this trick with the inside out to manage better the floats, looks very clever!

Another trick for catching floats in magic loop is to catch your float on the last or 2nd to last stitch on the needle before moving to the other needle. Excited to knit these up Feb 1st!

That was going to be my suggestion :) Specially if I am carrying that float for more than 3 stitches - I will just catch it on the last stich before changing needles. They I don't have to worry about space (beyond the norm with colorwork).

Yes, this is what I do, too. So much easier to not make it too tight.

Does "catch it" mean give it a twist to bring it closer to the end? Like, if you've left one color 3 stitches behind, you'd give it a twist before going any further to bring it closer...? Wondering what "catch it" is :)

2 handed colorwork was new to me as well as continental knitting on this project. I’m so glad to say, that by the 2nd sock, I felt a LOT more confident! Oh! I also learned to knit over ends and introduce a new color before I knit with it! PHEW! I learned a lot and that’s what makes knitting awesome!! Thank you for all your help. You’re an excellent teacher!

Natalie, thank you so much. This video comes just when I have decided to try to learn "continental" knitting. I am also a new sock knitter. I love how you hold your yarns. I just might try a colorwork sock when I finish the ones I am knitting right now.

So helpful. I just colorworked two cuffs and the knitting store was suggesting loose loose loose. My flowers on the second sock were about 30% larger. I’m going to start over from my lifeline and use your suggestions. I don’t want to give up and with your tips I think I’ll be able to actually do it.

I'm very new to knitting. I'm maybe 6 weeks into it and I'm making my first pair of socks and a shawl (because I tend to get bored) but anyway, I've been watching videos of people making all these beautiful things with all different colors and I'm like I will never be able to do that!! It looks way to hard. I have to say that you are an amazing teacher. I have learned so much from watching you, and YOU just made switching colors look like the easiest thing EVER! Thank you so much!! Hey from Hiddenite North Carolina!!💜💚

Stick with the new techniques, practice with old yarn. It will get easier, I was in your position when I first started socks 15 yrs ago. I continued to work at it with at being so frustrated but kept going. You will soon learn the sock formula, then it's off and running.
So many possibilities for socks. Maybe a yarn shop near you can help too. Hope you continue ahead, from North Carolina too.

I always catch the float in either 1 or 2 stitches before the end of the round so I don’t have long float loops to deal with
