Love the colour combo. That’s exactly the one I’d choose, the frozen pure grey and the Fiona red interior. I do like the Sanremo green with brown leather seats too.
Frozen Gray looks amazing, but I'm thinking of going with Skyscraper Gray because I'm cheap and I prefer lower maintenance. How are you enjoying the Fiona Red? I'm considering that or Fjord Blue. I know the red interior will look good, but blue is more of an unknown.
Skyscraper gray looks awesome in person, I've seen it on a few M3/M4s. But yea the less maintenance/hassle the better. The Fiona red was great also love the silverstone I have in my current M4. I love the Fjord blue as well. According to my salesman that's an individual color for the interior so does add some time to the order, but worth it in my opinion because I have seen so few with that color
Thank you for this update. I'm strongly considering a G80 as my daily since my current daily is a 997 Turbo S and, well, it's a bit impractical. Appreciate your thoughts. (Fix your passenger seatbelt though, it was driving me nuts, lol)
Thank you, appreciate the feedback. 997 turbo s that is a beautiful car. But yea to me g80 is great mix of performance and practicality. And still looks great! And yea I had to fix the seatbelt immediately after watching my footage back because it was the first thing I noticed when I as editing this!
It's really not all that bad. Would highly recommend at least getting the front end covered with PPF. It's worth it in my opinion. Also look into Dr Beasley's products for matte paint. They've got a sealant I used and is a really good product. They also have soap for matte paint, but a little pricey. Adams has the same thing I believe which was a lot more reasonably priced and worked really well. You just have to be careful not to use any products that would add a glossy shine to the paint and you're golden
Really like that interior and exterior color combo! I tried the carbon seats in an 8 series and they were way too tight for me and a hassle to get in and out of. I’m of a larger build. You can buy the carbon backs of yours seats through their performance catalog. I picked up my new m4 a few months ago. Still not at the 1200 mile mark tho!!! So taking it easy for now. Looking forward to the family vehicle purchase. You have and have had some very nice vehicles! Congrats on the m3
Thanks, appreciate it! Wait so you’re telling me I can just slap the carbon fiber backs on the comfy sport seats? I’m definitely going to have to look into that cause sounds like best of both worlds. Congrats on your M4! That 1200 miles is agonizing! Hope it goes fast for you. And you won’t have to wait long for the new family ride reveal. Dropping this week!
It's definitely stiff, but that's to be expected for an M car. Not harsh, but definitely stiff. With the suspension set to comfort though it is pretty easy to live with as a daily driver. From my perspective I loved the ride quality, but I am used to owning performance cars and I get that's not everyone's cup of tea
@@MatthewBrownVlog Thanks a lot for the info. This is really helpful for when there’s no test drive unit available (which is always the case for anything M). Enjoy your beautiful M3!
People are past the grill though....they loving it. With regards to the new touch screen 2023 model, I don't see any reason to change it to that...unless you want it for looks, I moved from a M340xi and did not see the 2023 screen as a wow factor, still has the same features, just more put on the screen, and for the most part you don't notice it when you are busy pulling digits on the speed.
I was thinking I’d feel the same way. Figured I’d be a little disappointed if I waited to get a 23 built and the only difference was the screen. That’s ultimately why I decided against it.
Sorry guys I love the 22 but I drive 8 is great it’s definitely worth it. Depends on everyone’s situation and how long the wait is but I’m really glad I was able to get a 23
For the time I owned it still looked brand new but it didn't sit outside much, usually in the garage if I wasn't driving it. Do recommend getting any carbon fiber on the front of the car wrapped in protection film.
They're both fast cars, but quality of build/materials there's no comparison. they are in different leagues for sure. Model 3 is a bargain right now, but for me I'm not into electric cars so wouldn't consider it. M3 is much more expensive, but you're getting your money's worth. not to mention style. I don't know about everywhere else but here it seems like almost half the cars on the road now are Model 3s or Model Ys and they all just kinda blend in now

Thanks! I'm a huge fan of the frozen gray as well. That looks amazing. Also this thing looks great in green too

Grille is amazing!!!! Best M3 ever made!!!

Thank you!

It is hilarious how people justify buying new cars to themselves.
How's maintenance on the frozen paint? Really considering the frozen Portimao blue but I'm afraid of it being a headache to keep in good condition

How stiff/tolerable is the ride quality? Thinking about settling with one for family use if my wife's RX350h takes too long to arrive.

How would you compare the ride to an X3 M40i with 20s?
The ride quality is firm and sporty. I would not call it uncomfortable since the suspension is brilliantly balanced.

What color is that?
Just an FYI that I found it hard to hear you at times.
how does the carbon fiber hold up over time? any signs of wear or weathering?
For the time I owned it still looked brand new but it didn't sit outside much, usually in the garage if I wasn't driving it. Do recommend getting any carbon fiber on the front of the car wrapped in protection film.
How’s the oil changes do you wait to do it at 8-10k or every 3-4k
For me it's yearly, somewhere between 5-8k miles depending on how much I drive
Looking good man!
Thanks man!
cant decided if i should get a 2023 BMW M3 Competition xDrive or Model 3 Performance
M3 is a much much better car. M3 is much more expensive though if you can get it I don’t see why you’d get the Tesla

Frozen gray?
Yup, Frozen Dark Grey, individual color
What color is the car?
It’s frozen dark grey metallic. It’s a BMW individual color
