    Nice, and thanks for the kind words Mr Coastfly 😍❤
    Its always exciting to see how other tie this fly, I tie it a bit differently😊
    If u or anyone who watch this wants some movement in the water, just put a MP magichead in front. It moves a bit lika Rapala with this stiff body, it looks a bit tasty I admit 😏😁

    Well after tying a few and showing some buddies, they really liked it and said it would work great for the perch and white fish here. They asked if I could make them with a small jig hook. I did and well, they are happy to add them to thier arsenal. I wrapped the shank with. 020 lead free for some weight.
    Thanks again for posting this .

    This tie will make a nice high hook fly for ice fishing. Will let you know how it works. Thanks for taking the time. Very simple and real cool.

    Nice looking simple streamer fly. I was thinking about articulating this pattern with either mono or wire. I have made long flys before that trout short strike by not reaching the hook. If I articulate the fly to make it wiggle with another smaller hook in the tail body section, that would eliminate that problem and increase hookups. I like the simplicity of using flow and thick IUV.

    YESSSS!!!
    Now I can "branch out" with all my emerger and sedge hooks. I even have a bunch of red ones rhat I might also try.
    This would be a great "alevin/sack fry" with a orange dot under the head/belly area. Will try that 2.

    Hi, little tip with the wide mylar on a smaller hook, cut a short taper into it then tie it in, makes it so much easier to deal with

    I mixed some glitter into the u/v resin on the body of the fly. Gives it some flash.

  • @angussoutter7824
    @angussoutter7824 11 месяцев назад

    Is the barred feather not teal 🤔 over here in the UK theses are teal flank feathers, they don’t look like the bronze feathers from a mallard

    • @Coastfly
      @Coastfly  11 месяцев назад

      The teal duck is about half the size of a mallard duck. So allthough the feathers might look the same they are in fact two different birds. :-)

    • @angussoutter7824
      @angussoutter7824 11 месяцев назад

      @@Coastflyyes i know the feather looked white rather than the brown of a mallard it might just be the light ☺️but you can get large teal feathers as i have these anyway it’s still a nice fly 👍🏼
