Late to the party, but this is an excellent video. Even though it was clear that this was not what I was going to need, I still enjoyed your clear description and simple tutorial of a remarkably effective tool for Godot production. Awesome job!
@@ditzyninja I was working on a 4x project and was looking in how to build a terrain generator. I have my own Ideas and mechanics, but I am far away from "that can be used". So you made this series right in the correct time frame. Your series started literally parallel to my work. And your Idea in how to do is inspiring. Brings new Ideas in my mind. The 4x project is now on hold because of this and other reasons. (Me: Indie Gamedev since 2015, Dev since 20 years) Working with Godot since 2 years now. If you wish we can connect :)
@@favilla4show Hi sorry for the late reply. It's good to hear that these videos are helping out. I've been playing around with gamedev for about 4 years now and Godot for 2 as well. I've never managed to actually make a game though. And yes I would like to connect :)
I have an issue where the sand has a hard stop at y=0. I can't seem to get it to blend like the rocks and grass using any combination of min_rockgrass_height and max_sand_height. If you could, can you make a video going of the same process but with Unity Shader Graph? The video is great, however I would like a little bit of explanation on the maths regarding the min/max. I'm guessing it's just shifting the range in which the alpha is between 0 and 1. Do you have any sources that go in depth on how the range is scaled and shifted? Thank you!
OMG! Discovering your channel boosted my Godot skills immediately! That's just insane 😄
That's great to hear!
Great job my brother !
Thanks!

@@ditzyninja weird. My comments get lost. Are they spam marked? XD
@@favilla4show No haha. It's not that. I have just been really busy. I work full time and finally started working on an actual game.
