Riyadh Metro: One Of The World’s BIGGEST Metro Projects
Hello and Welcome Back To my Channel Future Planet, Where we discuss all things Future !
Currently one of the largest cities in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia's capital Riyadh is expected to surpass the 10-million-person mark in the near future. Because of this, the city's metro system is launching just in time, with the potential to greatly improve mobility in this quickly growing metropolis.

This project is almost about to finish
Maybe in 2030
@@SharukhSaifi it will finish soon.
@@HJAlsubale It’s actually being failed imo
@@SharukhSaifi it didn't failed, it still going.
@@SharukhSaifi it’s coming out this April inshallah so don’t speak without knowledge
This metro is so beautiful
metro ride ... perfect way
Come and listen to all the channels are growing and successful amen👍🤲
I wonder how people walk to their homes or offices under the scorching sun once they come out of the metro station. It will be usually around 47 degrees Celsius during the summer.
This is the problem that they must solve in order to be convinced to use the metro instead of the car
Dubai has the hottest temperature and there is a metro
As they used to walk hundreds of years ago
Moreover, the geography of the desert is not as difficult as you imagine, and the fact that the atmosphere is semi-desert, the desert is present in the Empty Quarter and not all of Saudi Arabia
They hav bus shuttle service right under or near metro station, hop on to the bus n arrive at ur destination, oh before u ask ,will the passengers need to stand under scorching heat waiting for bus to arrive, let me inform bus station are covered n air conditioned so is the bus too.
My son works on this project, so knw it first hand.
Btw , same is mentioned in the video @2.30, listen carefully, BRT are linked with metro line......
@You tube Ba Ba Ba crap It is not a recreational or tourist train
Simply it is an advanced and wonderful service train, and whoever needs it uses it, the important thing is it is in a Saudi city
When will be fully operated cos untill now not yet operational I'm here in Riyadh exit 5
Lmao that comment about "Riyadh being unlivable & investment should've gone to Europe" was deleted? Some western people really know nothing about KSA.
These people lives in their mother basement who does not socialize in real life and then pretend they know everything about countries they haven’t set their foot on.
In depth video loved it
I'm working here as a safety officer,
saudi is super rich country in the world
Hay quá
I can confirm this I live in Riyadh now Pakistan saudias holy city is Makkah or madinah
I feel proud bcz until i will work in this project
cool
This feels like one big advertisement for the UAE, reading from a project brochure - not an explanatory video or documentary. I‘d expect some objectivity and critical inquiry here. Another project utilizing 10‘000s of de facto slaves?
Sorry guy ,in Denmark Copenhagen,we have an electrical self driving metro for a long time. I have been in Riyadh 4 times this year 2022 and I expect it helps tourists and citizens of this big city to move around easily. There are as many cars as inhabitants in this city or more. It is normal to have 1 or 2 cars. There is not rush hours the motorways are fully packed no matter when and apart from the city center the rest of the outskirt cities is a disaster. People drive as hell, specially people from India and Pakistan I have noticed.I have been in India many times and I know what I mean with my last argument, with all my respect to them.
You are so wrong. I am living in riyadh for 5 years and things you said aren’t true. First thing most of roads aren’t that much packed it’s just take 30 mins to travel 50kms or more in city. Second no never Indians and Pakistani drive like hell since they can’t afford it it’s expensive to drive like hell here the fines some times cost double the amount of salary these workers receive in two months. Most of the time rash driving are done by Saudi People.
@@SharukhSaifi Hi guy.We agreed how expensive this country is,no doubt. That is right no all indias and Pakistanis can afford a car,but they are exactly them that drive trucks, vans, etc as courriers, taxi drivers, food delivery 24/7,laundry delivery, furniture delivery,Amazon delivery. These jobs are done by foreigners and not by Saudis you know that ,nothing to hide. There are thousands of foreigners that have their own firmas and they have cars.Have you ever visited Tuwaiq in the south west Riyadh most populated area with inmigrants? Give it a try! I can send you tones of videos in rush hours and normal times.I travel soon to KSA in October maybe we can meet each other.I was in Al Khober and Damman that is something different. It looks more cosmopolitan and cosy and people drive carefully.I love this country, its culture, people, language, no matter what other western people think.I never discuss about politics.
Did they announced an opening date
April 2023
Meanwhile in the USA, our politicians hate trains and only want to waste our tax dollars on terrible highways.
Public transport
Mecca, Medina and Jeddah need a metro to serve them
Metros devastate cities, not save them.
يوجد قطار الحرمين هناك ، مريح و فعال جداً
You already have the haramain train for the Hijaz area
Some Ppl call this country backward. Yet this is the only country with vision. Others are all about war and sex
AC will not save Riyadh or any place. The rising temperatures will make it difficult for the infrastructure to survive, like how it happened in Europe in this year's heat wave. The solution is to cool cities using natural methods.
DESERT WILL TURM GREEN.
@You tube Ba Ba Ba crap boo boomer 👎
When you have too much money habibi 😂😂😂
Still under contraction perhaps wait for 2 years. Lol
Ok My Favourite Station Is Definitely The King Abdullah Financial District Cause My Name Is Abdallah.
Many expat labors did hard duty for this Project, but authority, contractors, sub- contractors
has not Paid their Salaries, I'm one of them
I didn't get almost 12000 thousand Saudi Riyals.
You talk about this project as if it is done and functional. It is not. None of it is open
They already finished it and they are now releasing it to the public on April 2023 inshallah
Data presented is mostly unverified...
Haist.
Mumbaimetro
You dont measure a railway project by the whole metro system but by the number of lines and the number of stations minus the bus system...
To many copy and paste from other cities, stations etc.
I bet no saudis will use this metro,
Only foreigners will use it.
No one will use it, because it’s never finishing

You really do 'talk' and 'show' a lot of twaddle!
This project has been ongoing for more than 10 years, has completely destroyed some areas of downtown Riyadh, bankrupted businesses and by its construction operations and ensuing road closures/diversions has completely ruined the main shopping street and even one or two malls.
This is one guy's (everybody knows who) dreamchild - it's a complete waste of money, as it will NOT be for Saudis when its complete, they will stay in their cars, it will be only for the expat workers, e.g. Bengalis, Pakistanis, Sudanis etc etc.
Just as it is in Dubai, however the population of that city is 90% expatriate so it was somewhat needed, especially as the Govt took over the Taxi system and raised prices 4 or 5-fold (just as they did down the road in Abu Dhabi), and the poor South Asians and Philippini cannot afford taxis anymore.
In KSA, the population is 65% locals and only 35% Expatriate and that is reducing daily due to young Saudis starting to 'work'.
The population of Riyadh is approx 6.7 million, so there's a long way to go to reach 10million and business, despite publicity blurb (methinks you are following/repeating the same BS) is very flat because Businessmen are afraid to take money from their pockets in case they get called to a certain hotel by the 'big boy' and are asked to explain how they came by such funds.
I do wish you guys, who insist on making this UTube twaddle, actually did some homework, maybe even visited a place and knew more about what you are talking about! .. People watching this might even think that Riyadh is a wonderful city. It's NOT!
The global propaganda of metros as being the solution for transport and as being sustainable is being done by companies involved in metro construction and others who benefit from them, for their vested monetary interests.
Metros in India are also devastating cities. They are not eco-friendly and not needed for people's welfare. They are being made for capitalistic interests of few powerful people.
لا اعلم مدى الحسد الذي تحمله، سينتهي قريباً العمل على هذا المترو و سيساهم في تحفيف الازدحام و غيره من المزايا…..امقت السلبيين الذين يرون العالم من ثقب ابره ،،

Totally agreed
Wow Saudi is paying a lot for their PR marketing.
The important thing is that they don't lie
You talk as if PR marketing is a (flawed) matter Saudi Arabia has the right to show a small part of its renaissance to the world but the question is why does this bother you?
Every country in the world does this even by lying . I don't know what country you are from???
Yes, we like to educate ignorant people from 3rd world countries like you. Where is the problem?
Most of the Saudi people are rich , so these metro are not useful for native Saudi people ,but these metros are used by migrant workers and some tourister etc...
Completely carbon-free?? It's completely financed by oil! Oil is absolutely not carbon- free. And of course Saudi Arabia is a theocracy which has horrible human rights. So their terrific infrastructure project really isn't so terrific.
In addition, metros are highly harmful for the environment. Air-conditioning contributes to urban heat island effect, air pollution and global warming. The metals, glass and other materials used all have enormous harmful environmental impact. The construction process itself causes a lot of dust, noise , traffic problems etc.. It is ridiculous to call metros completely carbon free ! 🤦♂️
@@rami8896 Who praises it? There are lots of people who are criticizing even European countries for using fossil fuels.
Jealousy can do more my friend. Keep the hate inside you until it burn you, and while you do that we’ll continue our massive transformation of the country
Who asked ?
oil is amazing. i love it
Sorry, most of the "real" pictures are not from Riyadh. Would never see so much mixing of the sexes in Riyadh.
This time wasting project because 2014 start construction work now 2022 that mines 8 years already we don’t know when it will be finished construction and runs
It is going to come out April 2023 inshallah
Its coming out in next month inshallah
I love how propaganda works, small channels that popped out of nowhere talking about projects that will never happen. Nevertheless enjoy the smell of money channel owner.
it will finish.
It started partially, will run fully this year.
Metros are extremely harmful for the environment. Calling them 'completely carbon free' is totally ridiculous !
Better than hundreds of cars I guess
@@abhisekdas435 There are better solutions than metros.
@@yashagrawal88 oh yeah? sure thing with around 9 million people in a single city, sure, take a gander
calling anything carbon free is ridiculous nothing is carbon free.
Riyadh doesn't need metro , Better to construct light rail or tram .
😂😂 vip have there own 🚋...
The most important question is when will it finish??????????????????
They finished it and it will be opened to the public April 2023 inshallah which is next month
