Great info! Even though I 'm a lifelong keys player, and now taking online courses to expand my knowledge of more advanced chords & progressions ... Recently upgraded from an MK2 KK S-61 I used only a little to the MK3 so I would have the tight integration with the newer KK software. (Also have a Kurzweil K2700 88 key with 'real' weighted keys for my piano tracks.) I never actually used the Play assist features, but now that you can use that feature with ANY VST I am for sure checking it out. Whether for learning, or just wanting to come up quickly with a chord progression I can flesh out later, very glad I cam across your vid! You saved me a lot of time - I immediately subscribed... 🙂

Great video! Total noob here. Would you know if play assist will now work with my MPC Live 2? I am trying to avoid any PC involvement and I'm willing to sacrafice functunality for what seems to be the best lighted key guide. I'm assuming transport controls are out of the question but hoping I would have a few controls. My other option is the Novation SL Mk3 61. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks for your content!

What they need to do next is split the keyboard so one hand plays in chord mode while the other hand plays melodies.
