I've only seen clips but super seems awful compared to what I grew up with. Gohan already had most of these lessons as a child by the time he saved Earth from Cell.

It’s so funny that fans are mad that Gohan turned out this way when it’s the fans fault he turned out this way 😂 Gohan was suppose to be the main character after Cell saga but with such a huge backlash that Goku wasn’t going to be present, Toriyama had to bring Goku back, but Gohan still got a major power boost in Buu saga and after Goku came back there really was no need for Gohan to train especially since “HE HAS ALWAYS WANTED TO BE A SCHOLAR” that wasn’t his mothers decision, that was Gohan’s from a young age. We still had Vegeta, Goten and Trunks as well.
