We almost sent it to the dealership thinking it was an electrical problem or one of my employees accidentally damaged the window because it wouldn't close anymore. What a relief it was a simple reset issue. :D (btw it worked on a 2006 Lexus IS 250).

Really thank you. In the beginning it didn't work. Then i relistened to the video i noticed that i was doing it wrong. I have is250 2008 and the issue was the roof does not completely close and when it is near to close it pushed back to open. What i did is simply left it close by turning the switch to the bar or dash before the complete close bar or dash you name it. Then i switched off the engine and pushed the switch of surnroof to the last bar that close roof in the normal situation. Then i pressed the start engine (twice) without starting the car (don't press the paddel) to activate the roof switch (means you can turn windows and radio etc.). Then finally pressed the sunroof switch for as long as the roof start to move without taking off my finger until it is completely closer (could be 30sec or more). Just be patient. I have seen other people deassimple the whole thing trying to figure out the inside issue but that is very wrong. If your sunroof slide smoothly but the only issue is that something prevent the full close position then trust me your motor does not need to be changed. I freaked out at the begging and had to get a car cover to protect it from the coming storm and also got the WD40 spry to clean in between but did not work. After rewatching the video and pay attention to the detail it did work. Thank you so much man for this great video. You saved me 3 hours driving to the nearest lexus dealer that will rip my money probably above 700$ just like they did for my front headlights that cost only 60$ in Amazon for the pairs while they charged me 280$ each. The dealer always wants to make it rocket science sounds to get your money. Always look online solution first at least to get a hint on what the hick you are dealing with so even if you needed a technician you can speak with knowledge avoiding shitty situation.
