Got 2 of each color now from the restocks just as back up lol, but now that I have the black ones I have too many backups haha. If I do wind up selling this itd be put on my site www.madpixelshop.com
Between 8bitdo and analogue never being available, I came to the conclusion that neither like money. They like to create a demand more than make money. I'll keep all my original hardware and wait for a competitor like Retro-bit (I know of their new controller) to make a controller they actually want to sell.
I think they should sell a 2.4 version of their Mod Kit for NES and SNES. That seems to be the only thing they sell on their website, but it's the bluetooth version. I completely missed that these were on pre-order, or I would of jumped in, for sure...
I got mine yesterday and I have to say it's WAY less clicky than my sf30 2.4ghz. My test is Mega Man X, while I'm charging and jumping the sf30 is really clicky on every jump but the transparent version is pretty muffled. Love it
I managed to get in on one of the Amazon drops and I gotta say this is one of the coolest looking controllers Ive ever seen. Also nice to have a second controller for my SNES now
If you're talking the wired controller to BT kits, I got the Genesis 6-button one and was not impressed at all. Lots of lag trying to use it with my Switch.
I message 8bitdo about the DIY kids about a month ago. They said they should have more released in August. Last time they were in stock in April it only lasted for about it only lasted for about 2 days.
Looks like Analogue's stealthily updated their Super NT page to show a matching system to go with that controller. Have to guess that they just happened to have the controllers ready to go before the systems due to the chip shortages and shoved those out w/o any fanfare.
I don’t think those images of the new system are any different from the original images. They discontinued a clear model of the Super NT and I am pretty sure that’s what your seeing there. I was hopeful though when you said this. I would love to see a matching console to these controllers
@@nessentialsunlimited I've seen the clear model, and MLP did a vid on it. Their renders of that one on the site were almost crystal clear, but the actual system is more of a frosty clear white. That 4th color variation in the gif with the other models, looks like what they'd render for a smoke clear variation. Plus, those RGR smoke PCE and SNES shells have been hugely popular, so wouldn't be shocked if Analogue hopped on that bandwagon. No way to know for sure unless they officially announce. I already have a SFC themed SNT, but will pick up one of those if they turn out to be real.
@@bradcarlson8349 I’m going off memory but I believe the render image of the clear always looked that way on the website but in person they turned out more cloudy. I think I remember people had mixed feelings about those and the clear controllers since they didn’t look as clear as the renders and I think Analogue stopped selling those models early on due to this. But it wouldn’t be the first time I have been wrong haha let’s hope you are right about a console matching these controllers. I dig the smoke transparent a lot!
The $29.99 are coming from 8bitdo but fulfilled by Amazon. The $24.99 ones are being shipped by Amazon. I ordered the $24.99 one and I'm still waiting as well.
@@RyuDaBurninator Ahh I see! Sucks for not noticing I guess, but patience! I think I might scoop a SF Super NT too since it looks like it fits the motif so well.
I wanted to add that 8bitdo is selling the d-pad membranes on their website, now. Obviously, they have been having issues with them. I've had a few myself.
@@destructodisk9074 I've had diagonal problems with the d-pads, but have never tried their replacements. I've had way more issues with them button membranes breaking down over time. It's happened on the N30 and SN30. I'm assuming their d-pads will do the same, which is why they started selling them.
I really wish the transparent Super NT wasn't discontinued. I literally only wanted that version lol. I watched your original teardown of the old transparent SN30. Its good to know this updated controller is even better aesthettically. Will this controller sync with the 8bitdo receiver for PC?
In the UK you can get them from 8bitdo's official Aliexpress store. But I understand its probably quicker and more convenient if they were on Amazon UK.
@@peppermintpig974 I ended up returning the 8bitdo one and ordering another Retro-Bit one because the Retro-Bit one was more readily available. I did end up ordering a couple of 8bitdo NES controllers though.
I was super disappointed with the 8BitDo Genesis 6-button controller conversion kit I got. Eg a kit to convert a Genesis 6-button controller into a Bluetooth gamepad. The lag is horrendous with it, completely useless as a controller. And I was so hyped to play Sonic Mania on my Switch with a freaking Genesis 6-button controller. That experience has really soured me on 8BitDo. I don't know if they made some junk controller board or if they just licensed their name to some cheap overseas crap. Either way is not a good look IMO.

Great to have more quality options to play the great system that SNES is. Thanks a lot for the review!
just bought a black transparent off amazon, it works perfect with my Analog Super NT black edition.

Same boat. Ordered 2. Currently unavailable.

Are the receivers locked to the controller it came with?
I bought 2 so wondering as well in case I lose one of the receivers
No, you can pair it with another receiver anytime you wish, but it's better having each controller with its each receiver for less fuss
Not available in the UK yet sadly
Same thing happened to me with the first two I ordered, they didn't ship yet. The next two at the higher price I have been using an loving them!!!
Yeah buncha booboo! I still have my orders for the cheaper ones... Wonder if theyd ever honor it.
Will it work in the intellivision amico? Will it be supported by its obsolete hardware?
Who else was hoping he was gonna swap the buttons over? Wanna see those purple buttons on the smoke black controller 👌🏻
