    This is the most in-depth, point by point reviews I’ve found on the subject. I was straddling the fence between Woojer and Bhaptics. I thought Bhaptics made more sense now I’m certain. Can you please do another video featuring Zero Caliber Reloaded. It supports haptics natively. I play an overwhelming amount of PVP and I’m imagining this will take it to the next level. Thanks again for the stellar review.

    Great review!
    Until December 10 the x40 is 20% off if you buy it by itself and the arms are 15% if you also buy it by itself, but they have a 25% bundle if you get em together so I’m probably going to grab that! I did the math and buying the x16 + arms is only $125 cheaper than the x40 bundle with the way the discounts are, so I figured I might as well get the x40 for that price difference.

    Thanks for the honest review! Had never heard of this company before. I had the Subpac a years ago but its outdated by now, and I was looking to see what's out there on the market. I LOVE to listen to pounding bass when listening to music so here's my question since you've had both: Which did you like better for listening to music and why, Woojer Vest 3 or the Tactsuit X40?

    • @bringhurstvr
      @bringhurstvr  7 месяцев назад +2

      It feels like the X40 would be a waste of money if you're only in it for music. The Woojer is probably the better choice just because it's cheaper. The X40 is great for it's targeted responses in games.

    Nice to hear that you are having fun with the suit. As probably the most active mod creator for bhaptics, I just wanted to add a couple of facts that are good to know: The mods have nothing to do with the game developers, they are made entirely by some crazy enthusiastic user who just wants to play the game with bhaptics feedback. ;-) So all those amazing Alyx effects were created and implemented by the modder (Shizof in this case). Major props to him. Many now native games were actually once mods, and the developers just integrated the effects down the line. And even if not, the bhaptics team often helps them create nice patterns and ideas what to integrate. This is much easier if you have done it a couple of times, as opposed to it being the first time for your own game.
    So there's the reason why most (not all...) implementations are pretty decent. Modders or the bhaptics team created the patterns, and they have a lot of experience by now. ;-)

    Cool, thanks for the review. I do allot of SIM racing games.
    Could you try just one PC Racing game with the "Audio BHaptics" and what sensations does the Vest provide far as engine speeds, gearing, bumps, etc. Make sure there is no music playing while driving. I know with Audio it is just overall effects to the vest, would there be any differences in a Racing game?
    Take care.

      I really don't put much value in that function, but I can give it a try. If that's what you're looking for then the Woojer will be better and more affordable. This is more for precision haptics.

      @@bringhurstvr Thanks for your reply and information. I may get into more shooter games but right now limited on disk space and I have all kinds of racing games installed from STEAM at this time.
      Note: They do have Assetto Corsa, AMS2, ACC, RaceRoom racing games on their game list. What it actually does with the Vest, have no clue. Says it has a Mod. I do have this game.
      I do have a 3 older shooter games I have had for years and they do work in VR now whcih are DOOM, QUAKE, and WOLFENSTEIN. I ran a version of each game up with my Quest 3 and surprised they all worked pretty well. I don't think these work with BHaptics vest other than maybe the audio to Haptics option. I know the vest costs over 500 dollars.
      Last thing - most people with racing games go a different route and buy Racing Rigs with vibration devices and the Wheel Controllers like mine that have Force Feeback. So maybe the Vest would be a bit of overkill for racing games. So I know what it used with these games. Haven't seen anyone try BHaptics with Racing games yet.
      Thanks again.

    Great informative video! I just got a woojer and it’s pretty disappointing in terms of haptic feedback. Thanks!

      It's been a couple years since I've used it. Honestly, in terms of that, the Woojer is probably better. It was pretty heavy in terms of bass. But with my use case being VR, it just can't hold a candle to the interactive element.
