The other day, I posted a video going over some Kickstarter projects which I assumed were Kickstarter scams. One of these projects was for a game known as The Spider: Combat Arena Prototype.
The lead project manager, The Amazing Lucas, really did not like what I had to say and chose to have a meltdown on his RUclips live stream while also insulting me.
This will be my one and only response to the drama. I do not care about this Kickstarter nor the creator behind it.

This is everything he said about me, including insults and portions I cut for time, at 125% speed. The full stream is on his Twitter, at least last I saw, but it's much longer.
Minor correction: I have found the animation streams he refers to and it is on another channel. I won’t take back everything I said though as he should STILL be posting game development updates on his Kickstarter as well as Twitter account.
Also, I should have said this in the video but please do not send blind hate, whether regarding his game, appearance or race, towards this guys channel nor in my comment section. Do not stoop to the same level that this manchild is at.
Constructive critiscm and outright bullying/hating are not the same thing.
You are welcome to report his game to Disney, Marvel or Kickstarter until he’s forced to change the character or thumbnail however. In the end, nothing will probably happen to it.
Dang I was really tempted to give him a taste of his own medicine but you're right. I am a grown up after all I shouldn't revert to being a toddler like he is.

Now, as someone who is going into game dev, he's a dog water dev who needs to get his stuff together before he gets yote into the void by copyright strikes by Disney. Disney, you know, the company that wouldn't let a dad get a Spiderman headstone for his dead child? They're litigious as all hell, and the school I was in actually said at could work with almost any other IP for our class projects. But we couldn't touch anything related to Disney unless it was specifically granted to our school for use.
I gave someone mild constructive criticism on their writing once with suggestions for improvement and they hit me with the "You're not allowed to talk about my writing unless you're actually a writer!" When I hit them with the fact that I actually am a writer and have almost two decades of experience with it, and once even had a paid job as a writer, they told me I had to be a published writer (they weren't published either, just posting for free online on the same site I was). They don't actually care about your experience, they just don't like being told they're anything but perfect from day one.
That's kinda the argument that some kids use

I love the game maker dude proving he knows nothing by saying he doesn't post devlogs because they're boring because:
1. They're very interesting to anyone who actually wants to play the game and see what they're getting into. Plus they satisfy the human urge to watch something be built.
2. They're there to prove your actually making something, not just to be entertaining.

Here on Brexit Island we actually have a legal precedent called 'The Man on the Clapham Omnibus' meaning if you attempt to get around a trademark or copyright by making very minor tweaks, if prosecuting counsel was able to show your workaround to any passenger on a public bus and they'd say 'Oh yes, that's definitely intended to be [trademarked/copyrighted intellectual property]' the workaround is automatically deemed illegal.

If any english speaking person insults your english or says english isnt your first langauge, you need to ask to contineu the convo in your main langauge and say that if they make any mistakes, they should give up arguing.

I find it funny when people use "you don't speak English as a first language" as an insult. I am someone who _does_ speak English as a first language, and has only lived in an English-speaking country. Anyone who can speak a second/third/etc language as fluently as in this video deserves major props. My French (second language, learning seriously in adulthood) skill is nowhere near that level. It takes a lot of work to reach a good level of understanding.

I got recommended this from the algorithm and as soon as I got to the part where you said he could have looked at your username to figure out your name and I saw it was just "Steve" with an extra letter I knew this video was going to be a ride. I hadn't done a legitimate real-life double take in a long time. Absolutely hilarious, and additionally that dude's a complete basket case.
One thing I've noticed after interacting with tons of people from all different cultures in my life is that people with English as a second language will often have more actual studied knowledge of English and how to speak it than many English speakers. If English is your first language you make a lot of assumptions and just operate based on knowledge you've internalized since childhood, but when you have to learn it as a second language, you have to study all the weird little intricacies like it's a math problem, and you're learning it at an older age, which I think just means you learn things differently. They follow the rules that a lot of native English speakers either ignore or don't realize are a rule. That's why a lot of times when you're reading a text post online, you'll see a perfectly formatted, completely natural post followed by "Sorry if this didn't make sense, English isn't my first language", because they're just following the "rules" of the language. It's just a weird little quirk I've noticed, nothing I could defend with hard science.
Anyway I think literally everything he said became trash and easy to discard the moment he called you Jose just because you look Hispanic. Absolute mask-off behavior. You could make the most well-made fantastic mind-blowing game ever and if you look at a Hispanic-looking man and immediately call him Jose I don't think I want to play your game anymore. There's too many great games out there right now made by non-ignorant people.
