I purchased a 20hp Kore total air system from Matt @Compressor world. Best, most reliable, cleanest air for my cnc machines over 8 +years running 24hours a day. Kaishan looks like the same high quality- similar built unit.
The problem with the new equipment is the sump tank and the separators are smaller than what they should be. The fluid capacity in the machines have been cut to almost in half or even more than half in some cases. The fluid does not have much settle time in the sump tank before it gets reused again very quickly, that coupled with a compressor that passes oil down stream is a recipe for a disaster.Also the coolers are too small for most of the ambient conditions the compressor is running, and that’s my opinion . I think if I was a large distributor I would just manufacture my own compressors. You can easily get somebody to build you an air end, And Aircon makes all of the control devices you would ever need
The larger a motor is, the more surface area it has so it can cool more efficiently which will raise the ambient temperature rating that way you can have the larger 100hp motor in a hotter environment than the competitors 100hp motor. Also vibration would be lessened.
Whatever TheGrindeveryday said. Plus potentially more copper in windings, another thing is good old torque - the longer the lever the more torque. The bigger the diameter of the rotor- the more torque, it might take more in rush current to start the motor, but then when it is running the “flywheel” effect helps to balance out things and run smoother. The “miniaturisation” always lead to higher speeds, running hotter, increasing velocity ( increasing friction), instability, volatility, turbulence and short life.
