My wife, my lover and best friend has been in a nursing home for over 3 years now suffering from dementia/ Alzheimer’s. She hasn’t recognized me in 3 years now. I’m only 60 years old and the loneliness has turned to depression. My job is an extremely cold /tough job and most of the crew which is very small is not the type of guys to have a close friendship with. It just me and my little dog now. Hearing the words, “are you disappointed? Are you desperate for help? You know what it’s like to be tired, and only a shell of your self. You start to believe you don’t have what it takes”. This is my feelings, my life to a tee. Thank you MercyMe for remind me of the promise I have ahead of me and this will not last forever. I love you Jesus with all my heart.
John Myers your testimony is one of the most heart breaking i have evere heard. I truly believe that God gives these songs for our strength and His glory. Always always remember you are never alone. I have fought depression my whole life and our living God is the only thing that gets me through. I will keep you and your family in my prayers and thoughts.
God be with you and your wife, John. I just prayed that Jesus would cover you with Comfort only He can give. Some of us have experienced loss and grief that is so overwhelming. Tired & worn, we look in the mirror and see, only “a shell of ourselves.” The disappointment and pain that is so great, it makes every breath physically hurt. But deep down, the Holy Spirit stirs and we cling to God in a way we never have before and Hope is born out of this grief. The Hope that the disappointments of this life will not last forever. They can’t. We keep running the race and we know we are almost...Home. God be with you.

Our precious daughter is just moments away from going HOME TO JESUS... this song is being played in her ear😔😌. What a wonderful gift... thank you brothers for sharing your God given gifts with the body of Christ❣️❣️. It’s been nearly a six year battle with cancer... but she’s run her race and will shortly be in Jesus arms!! PRAISE GOD FOREVERMORE ❣️❣️
I lost my brother, who is my best friend and like a father to me in 2014, this song reminds me about us that we will be reunited again someday and we will be home.

Oh John you have touched so many hearts to pray for you and your wife. I just read where you said your wife went home. My parents were married 69 yrs when my Mom died (with Alzheimers) on Jan 18, 2018. Dad was so sad we all were but when God brings two people and makes them one I think the pain can be so very hard to deal with. Dad passed away May 2020 and now i know he is at peace with NO pain. I wish there was something we could do for you. You have many of us praying for you. I am still grieving the loss of my parents but i know God has been making each day better. Have hope have FAITH " that we win in the end" God Bless you John you are in my prayers. Take your pain to Jesus. Him and our Heavenly Father know pain at the death of a loved one. I'm 73 and this really rings true for me...especially with everything I've been through in my life, the ABSOLUTE most horrific ordeal, one I'll NEVER get over was the loss of my beloved middle son, Michael back n 2015. If anyone reads this...could you PLEASE say his name out loud for me...somewhere in my tiny little mind I just know it helps keep him alive outside my heart and around this beautiful world...please, from a stranger....

I hope you find hope and comfort in the words "we're almost home." You will be with your precious boy again when you get to where he is- HOME.
I'm praying for your healing, although it will never be complete until you reach heaven. Grief is painful and must be gone through to be eased, sad to say. I lost my husband of twenty years in 2013 and have mostly recovered with the help of grief therapy. Hang in there. God keeps your tears in a bottle.

My mom passed away a year ago from today. She had been battling IPF and pulmonary hypertension for a long time. Seeing her struggle to take a breath of air each day on 9 liters of oxygen, I felt helpless. I miss her everyday, but I know she's found peace. The night before she passed, I was listening to Spotify and this song played. The lyrics that really stuck with me "With all of your strength, Sister, run wild, run free, hold up your head keep pressing on."

It makes me think of all the times I mess up or life gets hard and I want to quit, but then I think of my grandmother and momma in Heaven saying "don't give up...just a little bit further". Jesus died on the cross so that we could live. He never leaves us nor forsakes us. He never promised this life was going to be easy. The road we're called to follow is narrow for a reason. But because of Jesus in us we can find comfort and assurance that this struggle and hardship is temporary and short-lived because each day that passes is one closer to being almost home.
Keep fighting the good fight of FAITH and keep A pure heart and love yr savior, live 4 him!

The world around us constantly tells us lies, that only the visible things count, that we aren´t worth anything if we don´t succeed in this material world, that we are only a waste of space etc. Innumerable lies are attacking us every single moment of the day.

I heard this song and never listened to it until on the way home today from work and it is helping me remember to keep my eyes on Jesus. I am being treated bad at work and i don't want to work there no more but they pay is too good to leave and with this pandemic jobs aren't falling from trees. Listening to the events in the world I know we are getting close to going HOME
I lost a cousin couple days ago. Their family played this during the service. RIP and Fly High Cuz
I can relate. My late husband became ill at a young age. Gave up my career to care for him. After caring for him for years, I was widowed at age 52 (15 years ago). My little dog Gracie is my only companion.
Where did my friends go?
I'm supposed to remarry, travel, hobbies, etc.
Remarry just anyone?
I can't do that. Must be a Godly man who leads the home, not someone who needs a mother, a nurse, or my purse. Partners in Christ.
Travel alone with no one to share the experience? Tried it. Can hardly remember anything.
As the years pass, I'm getting further and further behind. Not keeping up.
House and vehicle upkeep, hiring handymen, tech stuff aren't my strong points. I've tried so hard but get ripped off. Need to hire people to help with things. Husband always did that stuff.
It's 95% Hispanic here; I don't speak Spanish.
Church is absolutely no help. I'm supposed to research stuff and pick something.
Depressed? You bet!
Obviously I trust God, or I'd pull the plug.
Never expected to be an orphan when I got older. My parents were married 70 years. Took care of them as they declined, then died.
I've been expecting Jesus to come since I've been young. So did my parents, so did my grandparents.
Looks like I gotta go thru the aging decline also, but with no one to look out for and take care of me.

Please don't feel like God is punishing you, he didn't cause your dog to die . He loves you very much !! He has forgiven you listen to the song from the East to the west and it will tell you that once you asked for forgiveness he gave it to you not to be remembered again . We are not suppose to keep asking for forgiveness for the same thing over and over because it shows that we have no faith in God to forgive. So hold your head up high and know that God loves you . He doesn't want you to suffer so for a slip up. Look at all the mistakes the disciples made. . . Jesus is happy that you are aware that no one is truly good . . . Luke 18:9-4 . . . Matt 11:28-30.
God has long forgiven you!! Jesus says: “So I tell you, every sin and blasphemy can be forgiven-except blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, which will never be forgiven." (New living translation, Matthew 12:31)
(Blasphemy against the Holy Spirit means that one denies that the Holy Spirit exists, and attributes his healings to evil forces).
It is the DEVIL that makes you constantly think of your sin and believe that God hasn´t already forgiven you. Next time when these thoughts come you simply say: "Jesus has died for all my sins - even for this one. Satan, in Jesus´name I command you to leave me alone!." If you push the negative thoughts away every time they appear in Jesus´name after a time they will vanish.
I wish you to feel the unconditional love of God - HE LOVES YOU SOO MUCH, he is NOT angry with you! :-)

Read the Bible, ya'll, don't quit trying until you find a translation you understand! Don't let anybody tell you King James is THE ONLY version! Check them ALL out. I was raised on King James, but love the New King James, in more modern language, and often refer to The Message to help clear up confusing points, or the interlinier on my Bible app, so I can see how it is literally translated from the original languages. PLEASE, read the Bible!! Especially, Daniel, Revelation and Isaiah. The time is short!
