My husband and I lost our 39-yr old son in a tree cutting accident on October 6, 2015. Our twin 10-yr old grandsons were right there with their daddy. When I heard this song, of course I cried my eyes out. But now this song brings peace and comfort. Thank you, MercyMe for such a great, passionate, and healing song.

I lost my husband suddenly May 8th 2019. This song brings hope in so much pain. The most horrible experience finding my husband dead on the floor beside my bed. The Word says not to grieve like we have no hope. Thank you Mercy Me for shining a ray of hope into a painful loss.

My dad just died a little over a week ago after a LONG battle with cancer. His passing was gut wrenching, but the hurt and the healer have collided so many times I cannot count. Thank you Jesus for providing him with the healing that does not come from the explained...I love you dad.

If you remember... Joseph was betrayed by his brothers who were jealous. They tossed him down into a hole, sold him into slavery, told his parents he died, he worked slave labor, and then after Joseph refused to sleep with his masters wife after she tried seducing him (which if he did would have been adultery and against God)... she accused him of rape and after he was sent to prison for a few years where people forgot about him. It wasn't until the king had troublesome dreams that Joseph was released to interpret them and his life got better... it took like 13 years for this good change to occur.
This world is not easy to live in and there are many things that we all go through. For the longest time I have been hurting because I believed that I was a burden to people. Because I have depression and other things, and people have told me that I am and feel like an outcast. A little while ago... I was listening to a talk that you can find on RUclips called "You are not a burden"... I stumbled on it trying to find something else, but listened to it anyway... and there is a young man discussing the topic. And I got to experience something else. Inside I just felt loved and I didn't hurt any more as that feeling went away. There is a Psalm that goes "He lifted me out of the pit of despair, out of the mud and the mire. He set my feet on solid ground and steadied me as I walked along." Right now I am having a hard time with transitions. I do have some deeper stuff and am now want to let go and wanting to stop throwing up the walls like a defensive child with a scrape pushing away a parent. I want to heal and grow. Life is hard... it isn't easy. I think the best thing to have is God there through it all. Cause I cant do it by myself.
My daughter shared this with me and it means so much, as I am battling cancer right now, but Jesus has been keeping me in His Peace all through this journey.

This is the 11th anniversary of my son taking his life. It was a pain greater than I felt I could bear, but thanks be to God I don’t have to do it alone. God knows what it was like to lose a son. He also promised that He would send a comforter in the Holy Spirit. I rely on God’s promises to see me through. He is faithful!

I hope that you have accepted The Lord Jesus Christ and God into your life, I sympathize with you as I have struggled all of my life with depression, anxiety and panic attacks as well as I think that I am bipolar. But if I did not have Christ in my life, I would have committed suicide but when I was by myself once with no one to stop...I heard God speak to me... saying "No my child, I have great plans for you... you are not done in this life", then I thought about my 3 grown daughters and my 8 grandchildren. Unfortunately people judge others who want to take their lifes when they know nothing of the merciless vicious cycles that people with emotional issues go through. This was shortly after I lost my mother, and even though we didn't agree on many things in life before she was under Hospice care in her home, I took her death a lot harder than my dad's death. I was her main caretaker while she was dying under Hospice care in her home because the Hospice staff didn't have overnight staff. I had to be strong for her, my faith had to be strong enough for the both of us as her faith was faltering.
just stop and give it all to god. I had 1,200 matches on eharmony and looking on match and plenty of fish you name it. When me and my now wife stopped looking and gave it to god we both found each other. About to end it all and giving up God transformed me and changed my life for the better. Sending prayers your way.

Seems like I revert back to this song every time my life is in the dumps as a reminder that when nothing of me remains is when he starts shining through and raises me to a higher level above all my problems. I’ve had my share of heartbreaks and as life goes on they don’t seem to get any better or less. If it weren’t for the Lord I’d not been able to weather the storms of life.
I'm glad I found this song. My uncle who help raise just passed away on 9/11/20 from complications to covid-19. My aunt his wife and I and many other tilt members are so torn apart over our loss. But I'm blessed to have had him for 40 years in my life. I loved my uncle Rafael so much. They had no kids so he always treated my like their own. Even though I'm not his blood he'd always stood by my side. RIP Rafael

I was a mess, I didn't start good as like everyone else. Pain and disappointments was my friend. The world is my life to cover and to be numb. Hard Alcohols, jumping and jumping to another relationships, broken, looking for love and acceptance, looking for my identity, reaching my limitations that I almost died.
But inspite of these all One Thing I know, Jesus was there on that night.

I lost my mother yesterday. I introduced her to this type of music and she loved it. She suffered a lot from illnesses and struggled all through life. I know she’s in a better place but I feel alone and lost even when surrounded by people.. I know I have to be strong for myself and be the man she raised and instilled her strength in to. My 51 year old son passed 2 weeks ago this morning from Covid. This is the first time I’ve heard this song and it helps a little. Never would I have ever believed that I would struggle with my faith but I am now. I feel like I’m grieving the loss of my son along with the loss of the holy trinity.

I am really grateful to have heard this song, at the times in my life, when loved ones died, divorce occurred, family relationships became estranged, illness happened and my heart and body needed healing. God gave me strength to overcome. God's Grace and Mercy is true. I can testify to that. Amen!
My eldest brother is seriously ill. He is too young tho, I felt so weary. As a young adult, I don't know whatelse to do, I could see how tired my parents are, and I know they can never give up on my brother, and I could not do anything but pray. I was looking for song to cheer him up, to remind him about our Mighty Healer, and then I found this.
I am afraid of a lot of things, and I know my brother and my parents are more afraid than I do, and as I read the lines: "Jesus come and break my fear, awake my heart and take my tears, find your glory even here" my heart was literally awaken. I believed that Lord himself is not just the Healer, he is also the Comforter and Refuge on this hard times.

I reached rock bottom and while I was down I constantly thought of the Lord and would always cry because I didn’t want to be where I was,but didn’t know how to escape so I went on sinning. I was the most unhappy sinner in the world. Things you think will make you happy you find out only bring you down. But Jesus heard my prayers through my tears and said come home I am here and always have been and no matter what you’ve done I still love you and now I’m free, not perfect but free. Kory, I have been saved for 37 yrs now and at 44 finally got over a 25+ yr depression. there IS hope. I press into the Lord moment by moment and seek Him to overcome it all. I had started a 12wk cognitive therapy prgrm that I finished and beat the depression in 8wks. I created a FB page documenting my rise from it all thru this. You CAN do this, but without Christ, it is difficult. I will be praying for your healing. It is in God's will, so He wants this for you too.

During this COVID 19 crisis it is songs like this one that give us strength and help us to surrender. A part of all us was killed by this virus but we will come out of this because the healer is in control and is healing the world through this crisis and bringing glory out of suffering. Humanity is being overcome by majesty. We have realized who is truly in control.

part of me did die the day my son died. 5 years and the pain is as if it just happened yesterday. No such thing as "time heals". When everyone has abandoned you in your time of need, God never does. By His Grace alone have I made it and only by His Love and Grace am I myself still alive . Even though I want so badly to go Home. It would be nice to leave this world because it's hell to stay.

This song stirred up my soul. Jesus please don't let this goes in vain. Only you alone know the pain that I'm going through. The pain is so deep. Sometimes I feel like I can hardly breathe.
We need this song during the coronavirus stress an depression. I have faced unfair things because of this stupid virus. I have let this virus get the best of me by over eating that caused weight gain, crying, complaining about the state I am stuck in to where my blood pressure was high, but from now on I'm going to look at what God has in store for me an how this epidemic is helping me to grow stronger in him. During this epidemic, I am working on my braille skills more to become an effective braille teacher in the future , paying more attention to my health, and spending more time with my mom.

This year on Mother’s Day...I was listening to random music...I was having a very hard time...THIS SONG came on out of NOWHERE...the thing is ...I can’t look at water...the background is underwater ..the lyrics ...My oldest son drowned at the age of 19...a little over 4 years ago...this song hits me deep in my soul.....my son is with God and didn’t suffer...God...Jesus is the HEALER ...he knows my pain ...his LOVE HEALS....a part of me died with my son...God has loved me when I haven’t even loved myself...I KNOW GOD IS REAL JESUS IS REAL HE IS MY SAVIOR...I WILL SEE MY SON AGAIN...My son wasn’t looking at DEATH HE WAS LOOKING AT GOD
