- Let's do some fall garden tilling with this John Deere Tractor Tiller Attachment. This King Kutter 48 inch XB Tiller works great on my John Deere 1025R Sub Compact Tractor. I've had the tiller for three years now and I love it. I till the garden once in the spring and again in the fall. Each time I go over the garden twice for the bast results. Remember tilling the garden with a walk behind tiller? This match-up makes the job so easy and better yet, so much fun! Let's hook the tiller up and get started.

Love the tilling process! Great video, love the content... viewed, liked, subscribed, shared
Thank you!
It’s mesmerizing to watch! Your land is so beautiful and I love these videos. Your backyard homestead is wonderful.
Thank you so much.
Nice video. Very satisfying to watch that process.
Thank you so much!
That’s one nice tiller I am jealous I need to get one as soon as the prices drop a little. Thanks for the video 😁👍🚜💨🍳
I love the tiller. Bought through Blaine’s farm fleet. I just ordered a loader for the tractor and I was surprised that the price didn’t go up from when I priced it a few years ago. Thanks for watching!
@@BackyardMaine good to know I thought I seen the tiller for 1800 once I will have to take a look 👀😁👍🚜💨🍳
Great video, your going to be the next Tractor Time with Tim show.
Thank you! That would be nice but I’m just starting out. Thanks for the comments and kind words. Have a great evening.
Amazing! Great camera work on your videos too!
You are too kind! Thank you👍
Found you from the cluttered garage livestream, I am outside boston. I have a bx25D with the same tiller. I love the tiller and it gets it use each spring
Good Luck
Hi Oliver, welcome to the channel. I agree the tiller works great. I also tilled up a bunch of dead grass that was killed by grubs last spring and it worked like a charm. Boston is just 2 hours away from us here in southern Maine. No snow yet but I suspect it won't be long. John
@@BackyardMaineUse to spend a lot of time in portland and auburn for work.
Great job editing!!!🥰🎥🎥🎥🎥📽📽
Thank you.
Those tillers work great. The one I have has reverse rotating tines, it breaks up the soil really well. I've only used mine a couple times so far, but just got my tractor the end of July last summer so still lots of projects to get done, so it'll get used a lot this coming year.
That's sound awesome William. I didn't know they made one like that. So the dirt get thrown forward? The tiller is a perfect fit for my tractor and is holding up well although I only use it a few times a year. It was a lot cheaper than the green one.. I have some snow blowing videos as well. Thanks for watching. (John)
@@BackyardMaine Its a Land Pride RTR0550. Yes, it throws the majority of the dirt forward. It works very well, and it seems to hold the tractor bad a bit too as you are going forward. I know if I try tilling with it in 2WD I just sit there spinning tires LOL.
I'll check out the snow blowing videos as well, thanks. I don't have the snow blower for my tractor, I have one on my lawn tractor which I find that I'm hating more and more each time I have to hook the thing up. Rather than a quick front hitch you have the push tubes that have to hookup under the belly of the lawn tractor, its not fun trying to get stuff lined up its quite a heavy blower to try and shove around to line stuff up to install the push tube pins.
@@wildbill23c The front mount on my 1025R seems to work pretty well. Thanks again for watching.
@@BackyardMaine Seems pretty similar to the front mount hitch on the Kubota BX and B series tractors as well. Much easier installation with those front mounts than the push tube setup for lawn tractors and ATV's.
NIce soil too!
It’s pretty decent. I grow a really nice garden every year. I mulch up all the leaves in the fall and till them into the garden in the spring. Thanks for watching!
😊 one step your ready to plant
The bar above tractor seat, is that required, can you buy it without the bar? Thanks 😊
Yes the roll bars are required. Mine is folding and I leave it down for most of my tractor work. The tractor won't fit under the garage door with it open. If I'm on unstable or sloped ground or doing heavy work I will put it up..
Thanks 😊
Looks like nice dirt. Nice work and nice piece of useful equipment. Is your 1025 Gas or Diesel?
It a 25HP diesel. The dirt is pretty nice. We have a really productive garden every year. Thanks for watching and for your comments.
I have a John Deere 2025R tractor. Questions: for your 3-point hitch, what modifications did you have to make to connect every thing? How about the PTO shaft, did you have buy anything else to make it work? Thanks for your help.
I haven’t made any alterations to the 3-point hitch at all. I don’t have a quick hitch so I connect everything manually. I did have to cut the PTO shaft that came with the tiller but they give you instructions for that. I hope this helps.
@@BackyardMaine Thank you very much for replying to my message, I appreciate it! I really enjoyed your video. I have decided to purchase the King Kutter XB Tiller.
@@davidsatterlee8055 Good news. It’s been a really good tiller. I have some other videos on the tractor too. Mostly moving snow.
@@BackyardMaine do you have links to buy them?
@@theenderman784 I don't sorry. The tractor is a john deere 1025r. I bought it used. The tiller came from blain's farm and fleet. You can find the online. I purchased the tiller online and had it shipped.
Great stuff and a beautiful home! How many acres do you have?
Thank you! I have 3 acres here where my home is and I own 10 acres of wooded land in central Maine for a camp someday when things get back to normal.. lol
Few questions for you sir...no loader? Where your tool box? And are you in four wheel peel when tilling? Nice video and even nicer editing! Great job! 👍😁
Thank you! I bought the tractor used with no loader. I plan on getting one soon. I have a tool box the I can quickly hookup or disconnect. The tractor has four wheel drive but I don’t need it often. I cannot remember if I used it while tilling. Thanks for watching and have a great day.
My wheel base is 54.6" so this is too small. I need a tiller that will work with 18 hp at the pto.
Might be tough finding a tiller wide enough that will run on 18hp.
I hope you do not need to use your snowblower in October!😳
I know right. Fingers crossed.
