What a match. Two very likeable guys who are unfortunately no longer on the tour played a thrilling match and greeted each other at the net in a conciliatory manner. Grandios !!!
Thanks for bringing this matches up what a display of speed, agility, shot making , and sportsmanship. It’s going to be a long time before we see this quality of tennis again. It may never happen. Just glad that Federer and all the other players came at a time of RUclips.
What a great match, Tsonga is awesome and a class act.
Thanks for posting this.
What a match - makes you realise just how good Federer’s movement was even compared to today’s best and thankfully he doesn’t need to look at his coach after every single shot and fist pump? Let’s his genius do the talking on the court . So refreshing and can’t hear any ridiculously stupid grunting after every point even on volleys nowadays ? Bring back Federer ASAP
Federer movement and performance were really poor in this match, he was really close of losing this match and was overpowered in many stages
The usual ignorant fed fan. Unaware 2013 is perhaps Federer’s worst year. This match he is average at best but you go on about how good he is when he is in fact poor.
Bring back Federer 😂
What , as commentator?
Federer fans are worst creatures to have followed tennis , no knowledge of the game and blind following, good that Federer retired and took his dumb fans with him away from sport.
@@haajiryabre335 Not bad for his worst year. Who has a better record now than Federer?
Beautiful groundstrokes from both, unlike current generation players
Tsonga is quite a bit better than all of the current generation except maybe Carlos.
Dude have you seen Sinner?
Another amazing upload in an even more amazing quality!
Peak Tsonga was a beast. Had he been more fit and stronger mentally, he would have been a serious threat and for sure a GS contendant!
In any other era Tsonga would’ve dominated. He would’ve given Sinner and Alcaraz fits too! He was ultra consistent in big matches and his mental toughness was second to none!
Lovely match between the two best all-around attacking players of the tennis golden era.
I've said it many times before : Despite his apparent bulk, the quckness with whic Tsonga moves on the court is just fantstic!
Tsonga was moving like a gazelle in this match. Honestly had the quality of the big 3 but only in spurts. He was a remarkable champion and an absolute legend of tennis!
verry exacting match, and howe humble they are to eachaver and show the recpect they show to eachaver
I miss that GOLDEN ERA...!!!!
A+ match..Tsonga was a very talented powerful big server and pretty good all around, good volleyer..
He had the potential to win big and he came close to a slam win.
unfortunately for him his setback was his weak point where he had difficulty correcting himself, then the injuries affected him a lot, he was not born at the right time either, if he would play now or 10 years before starting his career, you can bet that he would have had 5 or even 6 GCs and around ten Masters 1000s, from the domination of the Big 3 so 2008, only Murray, Wawrinka, Del Potro and Cilic (even if he had a lot of luck when he wins his) were able to win GCs during their era, Thiem I don't count him in, they were not as strong except Djokovic and Nadal at certain times for him
Tremendous match. I would rate this level of quality higher than 2012 AO final! Only Fed would’ve managed to beat Tsonga in this form. Tsonga beat both Nadal and Djokovic at AO remember! Tsonga would have won several majors had it not been for these 3 guys and especially Federer!
What an amazing game by Roger.
obrigado
It’s amazing how many fantastic tennis players such as Jo-Wilfried have never won a Grand Slam..🎾🤷🏼♂️
Also only managed to play just the one slam final as well.
The Grand Slams are really not the only 'games' in town.
Beautiful.
Can you make the djokovic wawrinka 2013 ao in the same quality than yoi did their match in 2014 ? And if you ever have the 2007 RG final in good quality...us open 2015 final ? Sorry but these are all the matches that came to my mind ! Amazing content
Thanks for the comment. I have the USO 2015 final so I can make that when I have the time. I should have the other matches as well so yes, when I have the time I’ll get to all of those.
Who are the commentators?
When learn that aren't better than the big 3 and have a lot to improve and that others player know how to play tennis you will be much better...and don't keep trying to be better that Nole...you need no improve a lots to things to get there.
Tsonga always made Federer play really awful
In this mode he was almost unbeatable
This match itself makes everything post Covid a weak era.
Tsonga was explosive, and yet his returning was actually great given how good the Federer serve is. He would no doubt take the current generation to the cleaners if he could, such was his prowess
facts
Tsonga never had the defensive game to make this an even match and Federer was rarely prone to losing to players whose strategy was to overpower him.
Wtf, Federer was so close of losing this match (he even lost at Wimbledon after being 2-0 set lead😂😂😂😂)
@@Luchon20082010 and so what? Federer was not at his peak anymore, in most if not all the 6 matches (out of 18) he lose to Tsonga. It's just normal that, if he was not playing his best tennis, these matchese were likely to become dangerous, because Tsonga was a very dangerous all-court player, with just one single weakness: his rigid backhand. After turning 29/30, Roger was still able to play amazing tennis, but not with the same continuity as before.
Tsonga resembles Muhammad Ali a lot 😅
