    Please use smaller containers for acclimation. Putting them in such shallow water stresses the fish out during a time when they’re already stressed out. This can increase the chances of illness in the fish, particularly with Ich. There’s no reason to do this. Get yourself a small bucket to use for acclimation.

    • @DannysAquariums
      @DannysAquariums  6 месяцев назад +3

      Like I said, that’s what I prefer as well. But didn’t have any small containers on hand. :)

    • @hypanusamericanus9058
      @hypanusamericanus9058 6 месяцев назад +2

      Saltwater diseases work differently than freshwater diseases. It’s not a matter of whether a fish is in an stress-free environment or not. If it has been exposed to disease, it WILL become infected no matter what. This is why quarantine is more heavily promoted in the saltwater hobby.

    • @mdowney14
      @mdowney14 6 месяцев назад

      @@hypanusamericanus9058 stress on the fish compromises its immune system and increases the likelihood of illness. It has nothing to do with fresh vs saltwater. This is common knowledge.

    Your channel is so good and nice to hear someone with a twist to their English like myself but I do not speak English as well as you and I also have both aiptasia and macro algae in my tank it all started when I got a Cooper-band butterflyfish and a Desjardin tang from my friends when I turned 35 years old, they were both emaciated (my friends are no reef or fresh water tank keepers) I said no fish for my birthday since I will want to see the fish first, I did not have my quarantine tank up and ofc I did not want to put them directly in my display tank but I had a second smaller tank with two clown fish in it and full of aiptasia and macroalgae and the second day after I got the fish they both were munching their little hearts out, I introduced both aiptasia and macro algae to my main display to get it going and after they fattened up I then put them in a third tank with the real quarantine chemicals in it always giving them fresh algae (tang) and a rock with aiptasia to the Copper-band after a 4 weeks and a full water change midterm I then put them in my display ofc I had introduced other foods to them so even the Copper-band was eating frozen and pellets but he/she still prefers the aiptasia, the tang is easier as we all know. So being to fascist in your attempt to eradicate all "bad things" is not have nature intended. They are now in my care both 6 years old and still fat and healthy eating like pigs so that 35 birthday did teach me to always keep some aiptasia and algae for my quarantine especially for Angels, Tangs and Butterflies. Cheers Sweden.

    you should make the the Reefcasa tank into a hard coral tank with corals like seriatopora, stylophora, acopora, anacropora, and add lots of sexy anemone shrimp along with other shrimps, i think that would look cool,
    And i think a baby grouper like a panther grouper or blue lined grouper would look amazing in the 40 gallon.😃🐟
