Let's try this again Family! You know the drill! Enjoy!

The scene “I knew you’d come back” “how?” “Because my dad promised me” just absolutely wrecks me every single time 😭
I broke down on that scene.. a child knows
At 6:00 you mention the boot prints, if you read into it a bit you’ll find that they wore overshoes that went over their boots when they actually walked on the moon, and wore their regular boots inside the spaceship. The overshoe prints match up with the footprints on the moon
Underrated detail of the “necessary” spinning docking scene. Cooper tilts his head OPPOSITE of the spin (with great effort) to help him counteract the centrifugal force. Brand’s head is tilted (pulled) into the spin, and she blacks out before they dock.
This is an amazing payoff showing Cooper has real flight experience
I love when directors pay attention to detail. 🤓
i love your comment
I'm from Houston and there's a lot of people that work at NASA, I don't think you could keep them all quiet if the moon landing was fake.
Time dilation is the scariest physics concept to me
You talk about the footprints on the moon not matching the boots. They wore a kind of protective boot over their usual spacesuit shoe for when they actually walked on the moon, so that when they came back in the craft, the dust wouldn’t get everywhere inside the capsule and mess up the equipment. Kinda like wearing rain boots on top of your regular shoes. So that’s why the footprints might not match when you look at them.
The footprint on the moon is different because they had covers ON the hard grey soles of the boots that had ridges on them. The suit boots themselves were smooth. The suits are in the National Air and Space Museum. Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin’s boots were left on the moon when they returned from the 1969 mission.
"Churchton Winstill" love it. Winston Churchill is a weird enough name, but you took it to some next level.
Watch “Good Will Hunting” if you want to see Matt Damon early in his career. It won an Oscar winner for its script from Damon and Ben Affleck. 😁
Even Robin Williams performance alone is worth the watch! It's definitely an amazing movie.
Dead Poets Society is another gem.
I was about to write the same comment. Such a great movie. Hope we all get to watch it soon for the Major family. How you like them apples?
One of the greatest movies ever made and probably my number 1. I went in with my family to an IMAX when it released with ZERO knowledge about it besides it being directed by Christopher Nolan (which I only found out as my brother told me while going into the theatre). Also one of my top movie going experiences of my life due to those facts. I know it's memed to death but, that scene where Cooper watches the 23 years worth of messages is so damn emotional. Christopher Nolan is one of the greatest directors ever and I'd say the best of the last 2 decades. He did the Batman Dark Knight Trilogy as well so I'll have to check out your reactions to those!
I watched this in cinema when it first came out. It was an awesome experience, and Hans Zimmer's soundtrack really hits home. Great reaction!
You should react to “Everything, everywhere, all at once” & 2002 “The Count of Monte Cristo” starring Jim Caviezel. You won’t be disappointed
I think mars is the only one we could inhabit, but it would be nightmare. Not to get all hippy dippy on you, but we gotta keep mother earth safe
Yeah it's easier to fix home than to try to terra-form some inhospitable wasteland. 🌎
If we can turn Mars into Earth maybe we can turn Earth into Earth - Neil deGrasse Tyson
Another good movie about space is The Martian. Matt Damon gets stranded alone on Mars and has to find a way to communicate with Nasa to try and get home. It's a great movie and the visuals are incredible!
This movie blew me away the first time I saw it, and still does every time I see it again. The realism in the space shots are absolutely breathtaking.
Edit: I was watching this young man’s video about dimensions last night, and it fits in perfectly with how he was explaining how dimensions after our third dimension would work. This shows an amazing explanation.
Interstellar should have won the Best Original Score
This is my all time favorite movie. Everything about this movie is magical to me. The music is the cherry on top
I watched a clip of the crew for the next manned mission to the moon on Colbert a few weeks ago. Colbert asked why go back to the moon. And the captain of the crew said we want to go to Mars!
Love the 100% realness your emotions are, whether little or your big long screaams lol. Keep it up fam, one of favorite reaction channels.
In the movie, schools are teaching kids the moon landing was faking (even though it wasn't), so they focus on that planet instead of space exploration. It's a manipulative technique.
Because like the teacher said "we run out of food, the world needs farmers" not astronauts and space scientists.
Ironically that was exactly what they needed.
Still dying for you to watch The Martian! Finally get you to like Matt! 😂
Love that you picked this one on your own! Great movie and one of my personal favorites!
*(FULL REACTION)*
Haha, respect. You and your laugh always make my day. Hope you're well, brother!
"Because my dad promised me" gets me every time
FYI the reason the footprints on the moon don't match the photo you saw of the astronaut boot is because that's not the boot they used to walk on the moon; they put "galoshes" on over their boots to get better traction on the lunar soil.
A really good Matthew McConaughey movie is A Time To Kill 😊
Matthew won an Oscar for "Dallas buyers club" by the way and you HAVE to watch it!!!
So emotional and so important movie!!
The planet Brand ended up in (Edmonds Planet) is where the space station Cooper was heading. They have to travel to Saturn in order to go thru the Wormhole to get to Brands (Edmonds) Planet.
Next up: The Prestige directed by Christopher Nolan
Major, Jonathan Nolan was also the creator of "Person of Interest". You need to watch it man
PoI is amazing!
I told myself I wouldn't cry when Coop sees his daughter at the end. I failed once again.
My guy! Glad to see the full reaction! So Cooper was dropped back outside the blackhole near Saturn where Cooper Station found him. Cooper Station was either the NASA ship they were originally doing research in back on Earth that Coop and Murph first went to OR more likely they built multiple ships after figuring out how to control gravity and Cooper Station may have been the first spaceship built and named after Murph...but again built from Earth and was possibly circling Saturn since back when Murph cracked the equation and just waiting on a signal from Brand(this theory holds more water since Murph was apparently not on Cooper Station when they found Cooper but was in cryosleep on a different ship or Earth...why was she not on Cooper Station baffles me tho). So it was probably staying around the blackhole outside of Saturn or poss en route to Brand's new planet which was just discovered by Brand to be habitable. So to my understanding yes Brand built the camp on the new planet and sent the signal to Earth that this was a good planet. She then set up camp, buried Edmonds, and it says went into cryosleep waiting for the people to come...like Dr Mann but without the lies lol. And yes the people from Earth were in fact going to Brand's planet but technically she doesn't know if she'll ever see another person again or if there are even people left on Earth to save. Or maybe she didn't go into cryosleep like Murph says she did since Brand prob had to make sure everything went right with the eggs....essentially re-spouting mankind. So I'm thinking although Murph solved the equation 60-70 yrs ago (from the time Murph solved the equation until roughly the time Cooper was found and picked up), the people on Earth still had nowhere to go, no new planet to go to, until "recently" (in their time) when Brand sent the signal. Hope I didn't lose you...i may have lost myself... LMAO... I could be WAY off LMAO but I think it's a fascinating discussion and an epic movie! Glad you reposted it and glad you loved it!
Was great with insight I didnt think of before!!! You even included typical character related developments! 👌👌
Murphy solved it during the 51 years that the slingshot manoeuvre took. Since it was said that Old Murphy had been in cryosleep for 2 years, I guess the other station was on earth orbit or at a similar distance from Saturn, because it also took 2 years for Endurance to reach Saturn from Earth.
Your comments on Matt Damon cracked me up since I think he’s probably a super nice dude in real life. You picked like the only two movies where he’s a dick 😂. I highly recommend the Bourne movies if you want to see more of him. Also Contagion and The Martian
Yes to all those movies
5:50 yeah, and the next to that stand in a museum seats a stand with a boots wich were separate from the rest of the suit, great research
low key balling at churchil winstell 😂😂😂
Best movie ever! I’ve watched it like at least 7+ times. For every watch you discover more and more beautiful things about the movie. A true masterpiece!
They went with both plan A, saving the planet, and plan B, colonizing a new world.
To answer your question about if any planet is habitable, Mercury and Venus are too hot amongst other things, Mars used to have water at some point but would have to be terraformed , and the rest are all made of gas
My goal is to watch every Interstellar reaction video on RUclips…just got to yours and it is easily in the top 10. Thanks for sharing!! You rock.
Feedback: the sound of the movie was extremely difficult to hear the movie sound.
Keep it up
At the end, Wolf had that habitat up before Brandt arrived (just like Matt Damon's character had his on the ice planet), so that's why it was all set up.
It's so tragic for Brandt and the rest of the crew lost that they didn't go there first, but at the same time, if they hadn't, humanity wouldn't have been saved by Murph, since Cooper would never have traveled through the tesseract.
So now the humans from earth are saved, but also the embryos Brandt brought to the habitable planet will be able to colonize a new world. Their descendants may eventually become the 5th dimensional beings that save Cooper, who tells Murph, who saves humanity on earth. Mind blown 🤯
churchton winsthill, timothee chaplain, omg I cannot with these names lol
He was cracking me up with that. Said every name very wrong, but also kinda close lol
Great reaction! 😊
This is such a great movie with a great cast.
Since you really enjoyed this movie, I very highly recommend the movie "The Martian".
Looking forward to your next reaction. 😊
Matt Damon can act very well, you just need to tighten your searches to specific roles he played. He won an Oscar for writing the screenplay with Ben Affleck for Good Will Hunting and was nominated for Lead Acting that same year. Nominated in supporting acting for Invictus. Saw that, very good job on his part. Nominated again in Lead Acting for The Martian, although I still haven’t watched that. There’s also four of the five Bourne movies he starred in.
Talented Mr Ripley, School ties... In yea major, I always thought Matt was a d!ck lol
First line of the entire movie:
Murph to her father: "I thought you were the ghost."
Foreshadowing FTW.
I watched this film last year and was so mad I didn’t see it in the theater. Amazing film.
Best theater experience I’ve ever had, if they ever bring it back to the big screen, go see it
Hi major love your content just giving some info for you. We did have a dust bowl happen in the USA that bad called the dirty 30s. it got so bad people left ghost towns people died. the dust would blow against metal objects making them get an electrical charge that was deadly. some of the people in the small clips in the movie of old people talking about the dust bowl are legitimate survivors.
This movie blew me away too when I originally saw it years ago. Glad you enjoyed it. Great to see someone get so excited about a movie.
I don't trust anyone who can watch Interstellar without tearing up.
Don't forget Matt Damon is Private Ryan
I figure once a month, I'll re-recommend Good Will Hunting
I'm glad you re-upload the reaction. I love this movie, awesome reaction.
Other Matr Damon movies to watch:
The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, The Bourne Ultimatum, The Martian.
Watch Arrival... it's arguably up there with Interstellar 😁
Yesss I love that movie
Check out The Martian! Perfect film to redeem Matt Damon for you after this! 😅
I'm right there with you tho man, it shoulda won everything. I love this damn movie. It has it all. ✊🏽
I don't have anyone. I could go. 👩🏽🚀🚀
I saw this in the theater and knew it was a masterpiece immediately. The scene where they're trying to dock combined with Zimmer's score was so super tense. I don't know that it won any Oscars. Maybe Score. The Academy don't know what they're doing.
He played Churchton Winsthill lol
man you saying you're not smart enough at 35:48 but to understand the parts at 36:57 when Cooper talks about the future civilizations where people to build it. i was confused about it for the whole time 😂 but after watching you to understand it, now i understand about it. Thanks man 🤣. I've seen so many people reacted to Interstellar and many of them were confused about when Cooper was survived from the blackhole and came back to near the Saturn where people lived at that time. It's something else, maybe Christopher Nolan might be the ones who travels into the wormhole, blackhole etc. and came back to the Earth and then make a movie about Interstellar for us to understands about it 🤣🤣 this is the best reaction to Interstellar movie for me btw thumbs up, I'm your new subs. 👍
I was gonna say this one would be worth a live chat discussion. There hasn't been very many perfect movies since this. A couple cones close. JoJo Rabbit and def TOP GUN MAVERICK
This movie won the Oscar for best original score iirc, but was honestly robbed in so many other big categories
The movie loses me a little bit when he goes in to the black hole, but as a father to a 13 yr old girl, I can't help but consider this one of my favorite movies ever
Don't feel bad brother, I don't get the whole theory of gravity effecting time and dimensions either 😂
You watch movies as if you're watching sports or something 😂 I love this one ❤
*MAJOR* Google “1930s Dust Bowl” this situation (minus the technology) already happened here in America and Canada. Great pictures and info.
Dont base the quality of a movie off of how many, or prestigous Academy awards (Oscars). Those are good starting points to check out but movie/films are art and therefore are for the eye of the beholder to judge
you get stuff dude, I'd hang out and watch movies i've seen 100 times with you hahaha
We went to the moon. 6 different times. There’s more proof to support us having gone than not. 12 humans have walked on its surface. All Americans. It’s sad that people question the accomplishments of the brave astronauts that made the journey there with the threat of death looming over their heads. On another note, I watched this for the first time tonight. Such a good movie. It would be cool if this is how things really worked. We just need to make sure we take care of our planet while we have it. Also, I hated Matt Damon with a burning passion after that whole sequence of events for a minute. 😂😂 STILL…Great reaction, sir. As always.
Yeah that’s Churston Windchill snd Tim Chaplan 😂
Chaplin - great grandson of Charlie
You should watch a documentary on the Dustbowl.
He lied and sent Brand because she's his daughter. It was about saving the human race, but it was also about saving his daughter.
She is a very moral, forthright person. She wouldn't have lied to the other people on the mission. And he knew they wouldn't leave their families behind if they were informed. So that's why he lied.
Finally someone with a hardcore reaction similar to mine during the second docking scene. That scenes so intense how did everyone not shit their pants 😭
Didn't know tesseracts get mentioned in MCU, it's just a 4-dimensional cube
Absolutely great reaction!!! Love can travel through time and space.... Watch The Martian !!! Matt Damon been a nice guy in Mars
Bro this movie HIGHLY got snubbed from Hollywood this is by far the best movie ever to be made imo.
Matthew got an Oscar previous year they don’t like when actors win multiple awards they like to ‘spread the love’. Which is a load of bs.
I highly recommend you watch the HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON MOVIE
Amazing movie enjoy
Yo Major whatch The Guardian with kevin coster! Great movie!!
Thank you! 🙏🏼
Churchston Winstill
Professor Brand was right. Humanity can be compassionate, but when it comes to self-preservation we are ruthless. Look at all the people who died from being trampled a few years back with the shooter at the music event. Plus, taking away someone's hope is about the cruelest thing you could possibly do.
Hahaha theeeeeere we go!
my fav..."Thats matt damon....matt damon whats up man? "
Really love your reactions! Love your enthusiasm, it's so fun. Anyway, yes, an EXCELLENT film and I love almost ALL of the Christopher Nolan films and he's made quite a few. Another mind-bender of a sci-fi film is "Arrival". Highly recommend that one. Also, Matt Damon is mostly known for playing good guys in films. I recommend: Good Will Hunting (his very first film with his childhood buddy Ben Affleck - they also wrote the screenplay and their Oscar acceptance speech for the film is very touching), The Bourne Identity (the first one is my favorite) and The Martian - oh, also Ocean's Eleven for some real fun. ❤
36:51 Man I was in tears and then I heard "Tesseract? Loki? Loki in there?" LMFAO
Watch The Martian with Matt Damon, it will make up for him in this one
In terms of the lie scene. You didn't really miss much. The only thing you missed is that plan A, transporting earth humans to their new home was the lie. The truth was plan B which was the harvested fertile Eggs on the ship
Glad you liked it. As a rule for life, when I meet someone that says this movie was boring and/or they did not understand it, I don't have any interaction again. Says a lot about them.
Yes, Edmund's planet was after all, the right planet for the human race to migrate, orbiting Saturn must be temporary in the great scheme of things.
Interstellar, as with most Christopher Nolan movies, should have won many other awards, same as Hans Zimmer, this movie is definitely not the same without his score.
Updoot for Churchston Winshill.
thank you major
I assure you Lance Armstrong did not go to the moon.
I mean you have to watch Inception next
Nolan put his FOOT in this, and very underrated. It gave m deep thoughts and i kinda cried for a few hours. Since you liked this one, i'd like for you to react to Life (2017). A banging sci-fi horror🔥🔥🔥
Churchin Winstrell😂😂😂 wtf
If you want to see a great Matt Damon movie watch The Martian. I guarantee you will love it 👍
Did you say Churchon Winstill??? lol
You should watch The Prestige
Ooh yes good one!
Watch Oppenheimer! You’ll love it
I wanna watch this so bad. But I can’t cuz I’ve never seen the movie!
With this one I could never get past Matthew McCaughnehey being an astronaut, dust patterns leading to only mission to save world right down the road, then plops down in cockpit beside baby momma drama who just happens to be an astronaut as well & on very same mission!😅 I was out! Would never happen in a billion alternate multidimensional universes! Sucks for me cause movie is supposed to portray "Bulk Beings" as mentioned here: see joseph selbie the physics of god: unifying quantum physics, consciousness, m-theory, heaven, neuroscience, and transcendence audio bk here on yt. scientific proof thru quantum physics for laymen. explains simulation theory as well.
For those who loved it, more power to you, friends, is my loss!
See ya!
✌🌎❤
don't let the door hit you in the ass
Spin creates gravity
Spin, in the context of a spacecraft, creates artificial gravity; it’s a simulation, although it’s effective enough for the passengers’ needs.
Matt Damon carries most of "The Martian" and is a much better, more honorable, character. Try that one. Great film, too. Jessica Chastain is in it, too.
I believe there are several ships ferrying the remaining population of Earth to Edmunds's Planet, where Brand is by herself. Wolf Edmunds perished before Brand got to him, so she's the only one on the planet, with the genetic cargo she's preparing to process and release. By this point, Cooper and Brand are in love and love leads them to each other.
