@@RIA Ria, I am taking a chance here because I hate when people try to tell other people what to do and I don't want you to get mad at me. Have you ever considered making an intro video where you introduce yourself and Alex and even your dogs? You could just tell where you live and how long you have been doing this. Maybe try to make it a little funny. I think it would increase your subscribers. It just kills me that you are not getting the recognition and rewards for what you share with us. Maybe show some of your spectacular finished pieces. Please take this in the spirit in which it is meant. I care about you and want you to succeed big time.
Thank you for your lovely caring comment its received in the spirit its intended. Our first few videos about a year ago we did do an intro in that style and the response was bad 80% of people stop watching in the first 30 seconds. Back then the sound was bad we are both a little uncomfortable on camera so that might have been part of the issue. The intro was edited out of those videos or they were removed and those videos did better. Since then we decided the content starts at second 1 and now more like 80% of people are still watching at 30 seconds in. It might be time for a change and i think we will try a little intro on a video soon not right at the start but in the first minute or two. No body cares who new people are but after a year on here there might be some tolerance for a brief intro. Good news is the channel is growing daily and we like to think the quality and the content is getting better too. It really is a marathon not a sprint but the journey is half the fun too being able to interact with many people like your self is wonderful.
Really like this, do u think u could’ve added a little bit of gilding wax on a few places? Love the shading with the dark wax, just thought it would’ve been gr8 to add some gilding wax to some of the high places? 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Love what you did with this piece! Wasn’t sure about that color at first but you are right…it is very versatile…I really like it….thank you for including the sides in your after photos…just perfect. Have to say your little pup looks like a mini version of my female Coton…she is so adorable! I wasn’t sure how big our Coton s would be but they are both about 20 pounds…and not overweight according to our vet. Thank you for sharing 😊kim
Thank you, glad you liked the sides too going to try to keep the end of the videos like this one now. Its a little hard to get far enough way in my shop to get full shots so might be different on bigger pieces. That little pup is close to 5 now that clip is probably the longest time she has even spent in one place while awake. Not sure i could handle a 20 pound version of her.
When i worked out the panel on the door had enough clearance for mould to fit on and still open i was really excited to do it. Love that the 3d effect shows up on the video too.
Hi there from Canada! I recently came across your channel, I have been so pleasantly suprised . I have learned more and have been so well informed by you then in all the years I've been watching other channels . Thank you for that , love your channel keep up the great job and I'll most definitely keep watching. Thank you
Thank you that is so nice to hear. Always great when new people find the channel. I have been redoing furniture most of my life so I've pick up a trick or two. Hope you enjoy the videos to come.
Great job. Using transfers and/or Fablon is a literally breathtaking job, well for me at least....ha. Any wheeze or splutter and that transfer could migrate elsewhere...you got to be soooo careful. You did a grand job of placing it on the desk. I really do want to try out a coloured wax to pick out details, but was afraid that it'd look mucky, but using black wax mitigates this, so thanks again for another tip. 💚 That huge 3pane mirror in the background is a beauty. Be interested to see what treatment that gets. Xxx
Thank you - the great thing about using wax if you dont like it very easy to removed it with mineral spirits if you top coat first. I did have alot more black wax on this piece but it looked kinda dirty but as i top coated first it came off really easy. Good spot with the large mirror in the background. Its part of a vanity and chest set i am working on for my self. BUT its turning into a nightmare project so its 50/50 if that mirror gets the sledge hammer treatment. So if you don't see that video before the end of the year well that's what happened to it.
So Beautiful!
Wow it looks stunning 💖
Thanks, it was going to be a simple piece and then something happened and I'm glad i changed direction.

I think i stopped at a good point adding gold might have been a bit to much. Nothing saying it could not be added later though.
Such a beauty

Love those molds and transfer. It gave it such a 3d effect

I love everything about it except the border around the top shelf. It doesn’t look like the right style for that piece. But you did a great job on it!
I totally agree looks out of place. Glad you liked it.
I agree
Very pretty..
Thank you! 😊
