    How often do you think about the fact that we are fortunate to live in an incredible time? Manual labor is gradually being replaced by robots, and engineers all over the world work tirelessly to create new and perfect machines that make human work easier. So it's no wonder that while soulless robots work around the world, performing all sorts of functions autonomously, talented people who can do beautiful and incredible things with their hands become famous. Make yourself comfortable, because today we will meet people with gifted hands, who are better than any robot or machine.

      Riigghht...because it takes no skill to be a surgeon or anything. Like they literally have to go to school for a decade to learn what to do and then they have a super steady hand or they could snip the wrong thing...plus they risk someone dying under their care. Although I do get what you mean, a lot of craftsman/blue collar professions don't make half of what they should. And I know quite a few engineers and code developers who are 'smart', but probably couldn't twist two wire nuts together correctly, or do a number of basic skills people like a cement or brick/stone mason exercise on a daily basis just to survive having a job.

    • @muskokamike127

      +Lydro: nope.....it's a controlled drying process. They hose down the outside slightly over the coming days to make sure the outside doesn't cure any faster than the inside. Some of it is chemically induced so it will harder all at once. Ever wonder how they can pour concrete in the winter considering the concrete is sopping wet? There are chemicals they put into the mix to keep it warm and when the lime in the concrete starts curing, it creates heat.....

      And it's a darn shame when a good artesan in any part of the world is passed over, and most of them are because they come from a poor background or they have a skin color that wouldn't let them blend in with Wallstreet. Having vids showcasing the work of some is nice, but I'd rather see an uprising in the name of better pay and stability of livelihood, so that these talented workers wouldn't have to work so quickly for so cheaply just so that they could bring some kind of food to the family table :/ Imagine the kind of awesome stuff they could create in a society where they don't have to be afraid of unemployment, homelessness, etc!

    In North America, all this work is done with foam indoors, plastic extrusions outdoors. it's sad actually. Most new houses are built with chipboard, particle board, plastic and tin and have the quality of an Ikea wall desk. They may look good, but they won't last 200 years. You can't easily repair an Ikea desk, same goes for all these new houses.

    • @TheNewOceanic
      @TheNewOceanic 6 лет назад +17

      It's a bit more complicated, I'd say. Houses are definitely harder to work on, and definitely made of cheaper materials than they used to be, but modern construction techniques and newer materials mean that new houses require way LESS maintenance than they used to. It's just that when things DO start to go wrong, you're kinda forced to scrap the whole thing and start again. Cars are the same way now too! Older cars could last a really long time, but they required you to work on them frequently. Newer cars require almost no maintenance, but once things start to break, they're open impossible to repair. We've just transitioned into a throw-away society.

    • @Francisco_P
      @Francisco_P 6 лет назад +3

      Simply going outside and seeing houses being built will show you that they aren't made of "tin, particle board, and plastic" like you say. Innovations allow us to not have to do the backbreaking part of it. The foam you see indoors in a type of insulation which is probably more efficient and effective hence why it's being used.

      @Crazyarchitect13 6 лет назад +2

      the difference is the attempt is to buy a house for life, unlike a car. On average any new house will start to deteriorate in 5 years (that's when you start fixing things up). Older houses (60+ y.o.) especially not in North America are built very differently (solid wood, full brick, stone) and last much longer before that first fixing up starts.

    • @Avnyeet
      @Avnyeet 6 лет назад +4

      If we look at brick houses, they cant withstand quakes but can survive fire, and wooden houses can withstand quakes but not fire

    Oh! Wow! You are stressed and need something to cheer you up but you cannot watch memes? Don't worry, we live in great times.
    Great times indeed. The reason you go to school is to end up working for someone, not to have people work for you. Coming up with a new system will be one hell of a task, and even if you do, you may end up like the scientists who brought forth cures for some terminal illness (6ft below).

    In centuries past any sculpturers have put extreme hard work to dedication into everything they created out of imagination that only speaks for them to those seen the artwork. It's no different of personal commitment than the same felt by independent craftman working out of passion, as they all accept to trade sweat and time to perfect something as creators; such things are not innate to machines which cannot evaluate such thing as heart & soul expresion and being responsible for what they have grown in the living world, kudos to the humans for not being morr efficient but creative because through perfection it's what gives the world things to live on
