This battery is flipping amazing... 2 of the little things, sitting @ 14.2 all day every day on an Ampere 5k with stock 180amp alt.... I think i got a few flashes of 13.9 but millisecond Recovery to 14.2 1 may have done it. 2 just sealed all off comfortably with more to let lose if need be. @Jeffery Carter generally you don't, unless they set forever. For good measure you can charge them and the light will come on about 1 min. Meaning charged. I have not charged mine since they shipped. I did check.. same results and it's been 15 months give or take. Sitting @14.4
So I went to charge the two Lto 6.0 batteries and my down for sound 15 amp charger keeps popping the fuse, it's brand new,what could be causing this now, I've got two of them buss barred together???
They work is all I can say. Will do vid on my setup soon. I still ran a isolator tho. It rest in the 12s. My agm batteries rest at 12.89.....lithium rest voltage rest at 12.92 pretty close. No hum or buzzing noise either.

In shock I get it's a new tech and you have a lot of research invested but there are a lot of ways to get that same lithium tech way cheaper.
Just ordered one of these this morning. I have a tiny 1000w system but this lithium technology will last 10-20 years versus a $300 XS battery or Optima will fail in 5 years. Also lithium charges faster, and can discharge an insane amount!

Do you have to disconnect this battery every night? Also, do you have to charge this battery every night like conventional lithium batteries, or can you just let your alternator do the charging?
Lto batteries are pretty safe, it's one of their main selling points actually. You could cut one open without it catching fire, although I wouldn't recommend slicing any battery open .

I'm inclined to think that these warning refer to - (after shipping and you receive the battery, 'upon un-boxing'). Should I get lithium battery for trunk or supercap? I'm running 1500wats rms on stock electrical. Having headlights dim pretty bad, max volume is enough to probably get me pulled over for strobe lighting lol Installing big 3 this week so maybe that will help a little but I think I'm in the market for a battery or cap as I'm installing higher power door speakers in the near future
If your headlights are dimming from 1,500 watts you really need to upgrade your alternator first. I this was 3 months ago, hopefully you have resolved your headlight dimming issue.
@@martinmi5 I did the big 3 and installed a volt gauge. Since doing the big 3 my voltage stays a tiny bit higher but as you said I need to upgrade my alternator, I'm still dimming headlights and getting major voltage drops at high volume. I'll be getting an alternator asap but man they are $500+ for my car. So I started exploring the possibility of adding a bracket and second dedicated alternator but that's not gonna be easy enough to be worth the money saved... gotta just save up for a big alternator
@@martinmi5 2012 chevy cruse 1.4l eco 120 or 130 amp alt I believe, but I've read online that these cars have some sort of 'smart alternator' that will back off the amount of power it makes based on how much the car needs or something like that. Maybe that makes it even worse than a standard 120-130amp alternator cuz I've seen people pull a lot more power than me in other cars seemingly without issue
rando man I just read the article about the chevy cruz smart alternator so yes that definitely could be the issue. Everyone I know who bought a chevy cruz has gotten rid of them for one reason or another. I don’t even know if putting an aftermarket alternator would even work on that car to tell you the truth.

@@arok_audio well thanks for the update and though this was 10 months ago, if my memory serves me correctly it didn't indicate it would be charged by the alternator. It said more or less not to install without being fully charged. Maybe I read it wrong it's always a possibility of that but I don't believe that was the option. I also spoke with D4S before I purchased it and if what you saying is true it's disappointing that D4S didn't mention it would be alright to Initially charge it via the alternator. But then again they are in the business of selling their products. In the end I'm glad I did if only for the peace of mind.

This isnt meant to be used as a huge reserve battery. Its made to be used in car audio with the engine running with adequate alternator power playing a big input factor. All of this is discussed in the product description. Take a few minutes to read over it

Honest opinion I have the opportunity to get a limitless lithium 25ah with the terminals for $560 BUT I was looking at your down4sound lithium $499 I'm gonna get a 200amp alternator. Honestly which one would be the best option. I'm running 2 mtx81000 and a soundstream reference 405
@@jayq3550 so if you don't isolate the LTO 6.0 lithium it will slowly drain your front agm battery while car is off? Which isolator you went with, did you jus go from front battery to isolator then to lithium then amp
@Johnny piper the lithium tends to die alot faster than an agm, So when not isolated it will drain your main. The isolator has to match the amp draw of your vehicle. Too low and it will continuously pop off and on. But you would wire it no different than you would without the isolator. Just put the isolator in between batteries and wire up your system however you see fit to the lithium. Just obviously make sure it's positive to positive (parallel)
I have 2 in my 2016 GMC Yukon and a 3rd going in on a JS 320 alternator running a Synergy 8k and voltage is not holding due the factory pcm controller. I have the GM PCM voltage controller would I be ok with just having them charge to the minimum 14.8 v

You just connect it to the starter battery (alternator does the charging) you should really read descriptions of products before buying them bud

If you go with yinlong lto cells you can get 40ah for $400. And thats the xs power branded (wrapped) ones.These are way overpriced for the tech.

What happens if i get two of these in the mail , theyre charged at 12.9 and i just install them in the car , can the alt charge them , or is it 100 percent mandatory that i charge them before install and why the alt cant at first?

Honest opinion I have the opportunity to get a limitless lithium 25ah with the terminals for $560 BUT I was looking at your down4sound lithium $499 I'm gonna get a 200amp alternator. Honestly which one would be the best option. I'm running 2 mtx81000 and a soundstream reference 405

To use this battery with my AGM under the hood would I have to install a battery isolator?
Definitely. Will for sure drain it. Had that issue. Isolator solved it.
@@jayq3550 so if you don't isolate the LTO 6.0 lithium it will slowly drain your front agm battery while car is off? Which isolator you went with, did you jus go from front battery to isolator then to lithium then amp
@Johnny piper the lithium tends to die alot faster than an agm, So when not isolated it will drain your main. The isolator has to match the amp draw of your vehicle. Too low and it will continuously pop off and on. But you would wire it no different than you would without the isolator. Just put the isolator in between batteries and wire up your system however you see fit to the lithium. Just obviously make sure it's positive to positive (parallel)

I have 2 in my 2016 GMC Yukon and a 3rd going in on a JS 320 alternator running a Synergy 8k and voltage is not holding due the factory pcm controller. I have the GM PCM voltage controller would I be ok with just having them charge to the minimum 14.8 v
