This TAS took nearly 30 hours to complete, and there are quite a few new strats in this. Probably the coolest innovation from my point of view are the 5 consecutive wall boosts (even though I know most of you would probably say that it's the shroomless mushroom strat). This is the most optimized TAS that I have created individually, and I'm extremely proud of the result. I hope you enjoy it!

Wow, that's amazing! I don't keep up with the latest MK7 stuff anymore and just found this video in my recommended, and I've never seen that glitch before. Also I liked that finish
Yeah if you haven't been keeping up with it, I found that glitch about 4 months ago (with some help from coolnhot). And thanks, that finish took me a LOT of work
One of the best TAS Time Trials I’ve seen, definitely the best for MK7. So many cool tricks!
Mario circuit 2 has a definite argument for the best of mk7, but thank you :)
@@MKWilliam Almost forgot about that track! I played a lot of MK7 but in terms of speed strats I’m not as familiar with it, seeing this and MC2 was eye opening.

when MK7 was still relatively new, id love grinding this level in time trials just for the ending jump bit you can do to save a bit of time, insane to see how optimized this level is in the modern era of TASing. sick video!

A really nice TAS. I knew there were some cuts on the track and still I couldn't have been prepared to see this. How could I be so foolish to even think that doing it close to the intended route would be optimal.

This tas blew my expectations out of the water. I played this game for a long ass time as a kid and I knew about the first glider trick and the shortcut at the very end. Seeing mk7 getting tas is so cool despite the limited options the game has to often. Great job
I only discovered the first glider trick earlier this year though, it wasn't known before then

That shortcut was insane
That's why this version is better than MK8's. There's a lot of risk-reward with the optional shortcuts you can take and there's a nice visual of a star at the final turn. MK8 lacks shortcuts, is more flat, and is anticlimactic at the end. The music also lacks that somber finale sound to it.
yeah, I don't really play mk8dx often anyway, but especially this track i have absolutely no desire to play

TAS doesn't mean that it's not real, everything in it is theoretically possible. Every shortcut in this has actually been performed in real time before, but not all of them are done in runs

Yeah, I got a bit carried away when making this, I spent a lot of time in the last week working on this 😅.
It's 11 seconds faster because it is a lot more optimized (I saved probably over 1 second in driving and new strategies), but also because the glider glitch didn't exist when the old TAS was made
No i was wrong the last Tas is now exactly 7 days old(so its one week)
