There is definitely pixie dust in Cuba, MO. Years ago I was on my way moving from the East Coast to Tucumcari, NM. We stayed at a motel in Cuba & while sitting down eating continental breakfast in the morning this couple was leaving . All of a sudden the man stops walking and asks us where we’re headed. We tell him Tucumcari and he was flabbergasted. He also lived in Tucumcari and worked as a bank manager. At the time the county where Tucumcari resides had a population of minus 5000 so you can understand why he was so shook. Every time I went to that bank he would tell everyone the story of how we randomly met in Cuba lol. Years later I met my biological father. We’re both from the east coast, and I’m telling him about my Route 66 adventures. I start telling him about Cuba, MO & how great of a town it is & also the previous story. Now he is flabbergasted. It turns out his sister in law moved from her country to America & settled in Cuba, MO of all places and still lives there to this day. It is such a small world✨
as a Missouri native and still living here I thank you so much for this video! I love our Route 66 and all its wonderful adventures and stories. I am so glad I found your channel and I'm Thankful for all the Roadies that still seek out and travel our beautiful byways. I wish you many more happy Mother Road adventures and I thank you for the inspiration to get out and see it! I hope you come back through and make many more videos!
Great video today Justin.. you even got me once or twice with the jokes about Uranus! (See what I did there? 😂😭) I loved the message at the end with the quote from Cicero.. you and London will indeed return changed men because of your shared experience and the memories made. See you on the road!
I live only 50 miles away from Springfield. Should have stopped by! Rt66 runs right through my town!! Ok Munger Moss is just down the road from me. Sadly, yes things do change, but happy travels! to y'all
I had tp chuckle about the "hillbilly briefcase"!!! Lol. I have to go to that place, i would be laughing too. Thank you so much for these videos, i love watching them. I truly hope i can do the trip in 2026, just have to find somebody to do it with since my husband passed away in May.
During the summer of 1997 I was 15 years old and between my sophomore and junior years of high school. Anyways my dad and I decided to take a road trip. We did fly from Boston to Sacramento and rented a car. For 8-10 days we went around everywhere. Grand Canyon. Meteor crater. Golfing and much more. My point is today nearly 30 years later him n I still have the amazing memories from that trip. We talk and laugh and both wish we could go back! Today he is 75 and I’m 43 which was about my dad’s age in our trip. Enjoy these times boys. It may seem boring to you.
So good!!! What a great father son journey! I remember so many road trips in my teens that I cherish, remember vividly and dream about! I am 58 years old and miss my dad's wanderlust! Thank you for what you do!!!!💪🥰🤗
I also remember the original Uranus, Missouri video when they had the "circus sideshow" displays in the Fudge Factory. Now they have their own building.
These are your best videos in every way. So much information The stories! Just the right amount of humor. The visuals and the editing. So much fun. I’m a proud member of the all the way to the end club
Thank you I am from the Ozark I live most of my life around the Springfield mo area cuz of your videos I got to learn more this area inspire me to travel more and see what's around my l local area
I am super jealous. I loved traveling with my parents and I would love to go back and do it all again... Dad passed in o4 and I still miss him and his great ideas ...he was an amazing Dad and he would have loved to do a trip like you are doing with your son...you are truly blessed to be able to spend such precious time with your son. Safe traveling and I am happy you are able to be able to take this time with him❤
You were so close, while in Springfield, that I would have enjoyed hanging out and chatting about Route 66. Of course most of the things you pointed out in Missouri, I’ve seen, (Though I’ve not seen Uranus) (and not sure it would be appropriate 😂) With the upcoming centennial of Route 66, I am gearing up to paint as many iconic Route 66 memories, to commemorate this beloved road. It meant a lot to me back when I was a youth, and it holds memories for me now. Your explanation of not crossing the same river, was spot on. We change, as do the areas or places we have been to though our lives have changed. Sometimes it’s only the memories we carry with us, that helps us see things as we remembered, and not what they changed into. I know for me Route 66 says a lot about the simpler times. I don’t mean times were simple or care free on the whole, but to a young person, it felt that way. No huge cities, miles of vast desert in places, and the occasional rest stop for the weary traveler. Route 66 was a life line for the residents along the way, and an oasis for those who needed to stop and refuel, whether it was food, gas, or the spirit. Thanks so much for doing this series again. I meant to ask before, but do you plan on documenting the centennial in 2026? It would be something to see. I hope to do something that year myself, to take reference photos, and to revisit the places I remembered as a youth. Keep safe while traveling!
Love your videos. Maybe your son would be happier being your camera man? He looks like he’s being tortured! You have so much energy. Keep up the good work!
Back in 2021, we were driving back from Ohio and picked up Route 66 around St. Louis, roughly running it from there all the way back to our home outside of Pasadena, CA. We totally stopped in Uranus and it was delightful. One thing I noticed in the general store is that every time a customer enters, the employees have to shout "Welcome to Uranus!" We got there in the afternoon, so by that time, we were greeted with quite the "if I have to say this one more time, I'll kill myself" tone, which is understanable 😉. Highly recommend the stop!
I've been mapping out my Route 66 trip, and I totally glossed over this place because it looked too stupid. You've convinced me to stop there, anyways. Lol.
Hi Justin, On your return trip take your son to visit Silver Dollar City, even if they don't allow videography there. It's a full theme park in a style similar to Knott's Berry Farm. Cheers.
Cool to hear someone speak the facts about how roads were due to cyclists. I ride a bike and frequently receive abuse from car drivers. But, yes, we were there first.
Of coarse it gets wilder in Uranus when the Weinermobile comes rolling into Uranus. People just love to take pictures of the big ol' Weinermobile parked inside Uranus. Some say it caused quite a stir when they see it in Uranus with all the hootin & hollering. 🤣😂🥲🙂😌 Admit it your enjoying reading that too much..... 🤣 Any way I do miss going up there, but I do plan to go visit the Springfield area next year. I got friends there, and I do want to see the Japaneses Garden again (hopefully during the first snow fall). Plus go to Uranus, and Branson too while I'm in the area.
In 40 years, London will look back on this 2024 Route 66 road trip with his dad and wish he could do it all over again...
Not even 40, the feelz creep up by your 30s lol
Amen so true.
Love your eposides.😊
I’m sooooo happy comments are on again. Thank you for these amazing videos

You have thought of a lot Puns for Uranus, Missouri. Thank you for this trip. Your Route 66 journey was incredible.
The drone footage is the icing on this route 66 cake! That different angle is really bringing it to life. Well worth it!

Justin, your travel videos are always epic!
I lived in Rolla for several years. My mothers family is from Phelps and Dent County 👍🤠

Enjoy life. Great memories with son and Dad

I totally agree The Ozarks is the most beautiful part of route sixty six, not that i'm biased or anything cause I live here in springfield, l o l

Epic video as always 👍🏼
Enjoying this adventure so much! What amazing memories you are making with London! He will always remember them!❤❤❤
We ordered my dad some Uranus Fudge online for Christmas last year.
The Mark Twain motel was the original Route 66 building at Uranus. The cabin court had basically the same footprint as the Uranus complex.
Hey Justin thanks for the fun vid. Uranus is much bigger than I imagined! 😂😂😂
i love Uranus!!!! Live just the highway in St. Clair.
Thank you I am from the Ozark I live most of my life around the Springfield mo area cuz of your videos I got to learn more this area inspire me to travel more and see what's around my l local area
This video had so many times that I wanted to hit the like button. Loved the river quote.

Can’t believe it’s time for another Random Land!!!!!
Love your Route 66 series. It brings back great memories. So much interesting information.
I missed so much when I last went to Uranus, there's so much to look at
This road trip was soo fun! :) I really enjoyed every one of the videos!
Love your videos. Maybe your son would be happier being your camera man? He looks like he’s being tortured! You have so much energy. Keep up the good work!
Teenagers always look like that 😂

Great videos Justin have fun
Love your book, Justin!
Hey Justin nice road trip
There is a Uranus in Indiana. Its just the big store. When leave they yell out "thank you for picking Uranus"
That place was weird crazy dude
The comments are very favorable - what's with more Dislikes than Likes? I think it's a good video. Justin's enthusiastic. Keep up the great work!

You give us the best ideas for our next trip to the north end of rt66.
London has already traveled 30x more than me and he’s a teenager 🧐
If you’re still in Missouri you gotta check out silver dollar city. It’s our favorite theme park!
You need to teach London how to edit so your videos come out faster ❤😂
The second you leave Uranus fudge they say, "thanks for letting us pack your fudge!" Damn fudge packers. Lol
Sitting here wearing my Route 66 hat, and this video popped up. Weird 😊

Where I live in Indiana, we have a Uranus. I’ve never been. I might have to check it out and they also just put in a putt putt area.
Don't forget if you come all the way to Chicago on 66 don't forget the toy store from home alone just off 66
I bet you really miss Ali!
they pack fudge here... LOL!!!
Why not travel the Lincoln Hwy, older and longer than route 66 🤷🏻♂️
I moved to Wyoming last year and Lincoln Highway runs through here. I never really knew anything about it til I came here. Seems super interesting
I passed by a town in Utah once called Beaver. They have a Mexican place called Beaver Tacos. 🤣
Bicycle heaven museum in Pittsburgh
take a shot everytime you hear the word uranus
Umm. Houston, we have a problem… I can see Uranus 🤣
Uranus looked crowded.
🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗🚗
We liked Uranus I flew my drone also
I'm not giggling, you're giggling 😂
🤩
Probed and picked lol
No sound
So weird. Why are there so many dislikes in the video via the Return dislikes addon? Hmm.
"Uranus" is not a "town"; it's a road-side attraction at the St. Robert, MO exit, gateway to the USArmy installation of Fort Leonard Wood.
Cool to hear someone speak the facts about how roads were due to cyclists. I ride a bike and frequently receive abuse from car drivers. But, yes, we were there first.
🖤🤍You're not wearing all black and white today. 😊I love this video. Making memories❤🛣️🏣🏠🏘️⛽🌴🌴🌳🌳🌲🌲🍽️🍽️
