    Readings: Jeremiah 31: 31-34; Psalm 51: 3-4, 12-13, 14-15;
     Hebrews 5: 7-9; John 12: 20-33
    Dear Brothers and Sisters.
    The readings for the 5th Sunday of Lent Year B, revolve around several interconnected themes that highlight the transformative nature of faith, the fulfilment of God's promises, and the path to eternal life through sacrifice and obedience.
    In the first reading from the book of Jeremiah, we hear of the promise of a new covenant that God will make with His people. It is a covenant not like the old one, but one that is written on hearts, a covenant of love, forgiveness, and reconciliation. This passage reminds us that God is always faithful to His promises and that He desires a close relationship with each one of us.
    The Responsorial Psalm echoes this sentiment, as we are reminded of God's power and authority over all creation. He calls us to offer Him our sacrifices of praise and thanksgiving, for He is a loving and merciful God who longs to hear our prayers and bless us abundantly.
