All your favorites are here, including “Hungry Heart,” “The Ties That Bind,” “Out In The Street” and 21 more great performances.

I dare say this might be the the greatest performance of Prove It. It doesn't have the 78 intro, but holy Hell that sound is MASSIVE. I've never heard anything else like this
2000 live in NYC was great
That '78.intro spoiled us.I love the outro solo with him and Steve in the Barcelona '02/'03 Rising tour.Especially when they do the yeah...yeah..yeah....back and forth.
@@1996yankees1996 the vocals on that are possibly the best
As if the Telecaster was made exclusively for Bruce Springsteen. Not for the purpose speed playing, and showing off, but for the distinct function of grinding and cutting through the bigness of the E Street Band sound like a crying banshee through a thunderstorm.
Springsteen is the greatest songwriter and live performer of my lifetime. There is literally no-one like him. An artist whose music has inspired and moved me since I was a teenager. Lucky to have seen him 24 times and it still isn't enough.
Y0WZA!! He is the man tougher than the rest in music!!
Agree
Eh, his lyrics are like little abstract short stories. He’s not that great. Plus, nowadays you can barely hear what he’s saying through the grit and raspiness style he sings with now. It’s like a gritty folk country style. Wish he sung how he did in the 80s when you could follow the lyrics
@@pgaquigz1125 Matter of opinion and taste. His last few albums have been brilliant in my view, He is still to me in a class of his own, both as a songwriter and a live performer. I've seen and heard everyone in the last 5o years or so and for me nobody even comes close.to Bruce.
@@johnnyM809 his concerts have too many lulls in it when he plays many boring or shit songs in a row. I saw The Who twice this decade and they blow the fucking roof off the venue just as good or better than Bruce. Also seeing roger waters live is an experience unlike any other. Clapton I’ve seen a lot and is a different kind of epic experience. Bruce is great and I love his gems, but when he plays his new album songs and slow songs I fall asleep.
This concert is the greatest document of Bruce and E Street at their live peak. If a non fan isn't impressed by performances like this, then I've got nothing. To think this was locked in a vault for 35 years. Bruce Inc were crazy!!
You got something, man and i was there
I think he was at his best on the 1978 tour- most long time fans agree.
@@kindnessfirst9670 I think we can agree 78 to 81 was the peak of the band. But having said that, they have still been kicking ass ever since! .
Honest to God, has there ever been anyone else this good?
NO!!! 😮
Nope.
No
No.
Ah...no..
I saw him in Oakland, The River Tour, in 1980. Sang along with every song and had laryngitis for a week.
He followed up with 4 nights at the L.A. Sports Arena of which I was at every show. Talk about horse. What a show!!! 😀
😄 The good old days for sure.
@@Reclining_Spuds Yep. 4 nights at LA Sports Arena!! I know. I was at the Halloween night one. I was 13 yrs old. He then came back the next year, in '81 for the second leg of that River tour and did 7 nights. Fucking insane!! I went to one then too. I've seen him 20X so far. Was hoping for maybe 22 and 23 and maybe 24, but a little thing like a pandemic fucked it all up.
Next year!!
@@markvaught672 October 1980 I was 22 years old and it was 4 nights. When he returned the next summer it was 6 or 7 nights. I was medically unable to participate in those shows. :(
The greatest artist in the history.
of course
...there was that guy from Memphis, and the little imp born in a Salzburg. ... then there's Bruce's contemporary from ocean grove. Southside
That’s a pretty bold statement 😮
Underrated Song, one of his bests, especially live
You right dude!!! E street band in cocnert are unic for ever...
Darkness is such an underrated album
I hope this video serves to remove all doubt as to whether or not the Boss is a fantastic guitarist.
Great performance! Little Steven's great harmony vocal is one of the reasons the River Tour is even better than the Born in the USA Tour.
Stevie was and is great
This is one of the few songs that Springsteen lets loose on the guitar, though the live ones from '78 are even stronger.
Just saw him last night in Greensboro for the first time. I’m 28. The boss was so good man. He SLAYED this one
He is proving it all night!
A killer performance of my second favorite Darkness On The Edge of Town song, though I kinda prefer the intense Phoenix ‘78 version elsewhere on RUclips.
Totally agree. I love this, but they were on fire during the '78 version.
This is such a bloody hot song only Bruce can do and whip on his guitar!! Dude, the man, Bruce,, You are on the top of my favorites playlist!!
My first Bruce show was in Rochester a couple of weeks after this show.
Theres a f'n reason they call this man THE BOSS!! His buddy on sax was a bad ass too
Bruce, at the height of his Songwriting and Live powers !!! Wow !!! ♫♫♫
The man can solo...
I was 21 and now I've been 21 three times and I'm still in awe.
What a majestic performance.
A few days before this, On October 25, 1980, 43 years ago today, I saw Bruce play in Portland. I had bought the Born to Run album a few months before, liked it, and bought his three earlier ones as well. Liked them too. This song was probably my favorite. Then I heard he was coming to Portland about the same time I bought his newest album, The River. So it was pretty much a crash course on Springsteen. I must have listened to the River 20 times the week before the concert. He opened up the show with this song, and I literally started shaking. He even did a version of “On Top of Old Smokey” in honor of Mt. St. Helens that had erupted 5 months earlier. I was 20 years old. Bruce was 31. Now I’m 63, Bruce is 74. Two members of the E Street band that I saw that night are gone, and one starred in my favorite series of all time, The Sopranos. Seeing Steve Van Zandt in this video I realize I really don’t have any memory of him at that show, but he was there. Anyway, thanks for that great concert memory, every October 25th, I think about it.
Veo a un hombre dándolo todo con su voz, con su guitarra y con su banda..., Qué más puedo decir??? El mejor.
I was there for thst show....i became a life long fan and saw every show to phoenix from then on....his energy and passion has never been surpassed....
The boys are sounding and looking amazing!!
Houston Texas 78❤
Mighty Max
Springsteens guitar playing was perfect for his songs. If he tried to be Hendrix or Van Halen it wouldn't have worked. Kudos to Bruce for being Bruce. Kept his ego within the music
That's why they call him the boss
The great Stevie Van Zandt.
Miami Steve if you please !
Zandt
@@Snakey120 thanks
Simply Amazing.
Incredible !
I was 16 months old at the time of this performance.. wish I was there... I still blame my parents
Haha!
Just the best.
Amazing performance!
My friend Scott "Bo" Miller and I were at this concert
Same energy years later
so powerfull !!
The real Bruce!
❤❤❤👐❤❤❤✌PROVE IT ALL NIGHT🎶🎧🎶🎸🌜If dreams come true👏👐❤💙WOW BRUCE BOSS U ARE MAGNIFIC🎶🎸🎶🎸🎶🎸👐

Great Song 💖👏👏👏
Da brividi!
Nunca me canso de escuchar esta canción
I've been working real hard, trying to get my hands clean
We'll drive that dusty road from Monroe to Angeline
To buy you a gold ring and pretty dress of blue
Baby just one kiss will get these things for you
A kiss to seal our fate tonight
A kiss to prove it all night
Prove it all night
Girl there's nothing else that we can do
So prove it all night
Prove it all night
And girl I'll prove it all night for you
Everybody's got a hunger, a hunger they can't resist
There's so much that you want, you deserve much more than this
But if dreams came true, oh, wouldn't that be nice
But this ain't no dream we're living through tonight
Girl, you want it, you take it, you pay the price
Prove it all night
Prove it all night
Prove it all night girl and call the bluff
We'll prove it all night
Prove it all night
Girl I'll prove it all night for your love
Baby, tie your hair back in a long white bow
Meet me in the fields out behind the dynamo
You hear their voices telling you not to go
They've made their choices and they'll never know
What it means to steal, to cheat, to lie
What it's like to live and die
Prove it all night
Prove it all night
Girl there's nothing else that we can do
So prove it all night
Prove it all night
And girl I'll prove it all night for you
I'll prove it all night
I'll prove it all night
I'll prove it all night
I'll prove it all night
I'll prove it all night
I'll prove it all night
I'll prove it all night
I'll prove it all night
Wow video...perhaps the finest concert video ever.
Wicked good!
Mito demais.
RIP. Clarence you are missed. Bruce, Big man, Steve and the rest of the band Thank you for keeping me company through these years and all these miles.

Last decent tour. As soon as he introduced that silly bint Patti on the BITUSA tour and Stevie left. It was all downhill from here.
Yah I get that. Went to see Tunnel of love , A very sad comparison.
