Also for left handed people you can unscrew the blade from the handle and rescrew the blade to the other side. I lost my rotary cutter a while back so this is what me and my mom do so we don't have to buy another rotary cutter.

Your project is so awesome! I decided to crochet a blanket for my first grandchild and back it with fleece. However, I have scoured the planet and even contacted Fiskars the makers here in the UK to purchase the SKIP Cutter but they tell me they do not produce one!?!?!? Can you let me know please where you purchased the one you are using as I am rather stuck and cannot finish the blanket - grandchild due shortly :) Thank you

Important to tell new rotary cutter users how incredibly sharp the blades are. One must close the safety cover over the blade every time the cutter as it is being set down. If there are children around, put the cutter where kids can't get it. Google other safety tips.

Has anyone done this with silk type material? I was wanting to back a plush blanket with a silky material. Would it still be the same technique? Thanks!

I’m a little confused about cutting the fleece one inch smaller than your project. When watching the full series, it seems like you would want it to cut the fleece an inch larger so the fleece will line up with your project once you’ve got yarn on the fleece. Am I missing something? It seems that your fleece would end up smaller than your project if you cut an inch smaller.

They are here for sale at our Studio but we use them for giveaways online once in a while. We don't provide a mail out service as I am here on my own and cannot handle the work load associated to that. I'm sorry.

Does this work if your project is more rectangle?

How would this work on a chevron blanket?

I was so excited to try this.... but my piece is slightly too big. I need a 5' x 5' piece of fleece and the widest piece they have at joanns is 4'8 :(

You can purchase a pre-made fleece blanket for kids at Walmart and then crochet around that. Sometimes the blankets come with a blanket stitch around the border which makes crocheting even easier.
