    It's interesting that such ancient cave dwellings exist so much closer to home than we realize here in the UK.

    I have been to West Ireland as a teen. I found it beautiful and the people so friendly! Would love to go back. Went to Sligo. We stayed in a farmhouse in Wicklow.

    the view from the caves is incredible and such a diverse geological and human history..amazing that features like this can create our beliefs and folklore of counties and countries... thank you for sharing

    How lovely! Now I'm curious about the geology of the caves, as in the rock formations. Some of the rock looks diagonal which is so cool to think of the immense power needed to move rock into that kind of position. Kinda goes with the feeling of studying the animal bones you mentioned, just being in awe of the ancientness and power they hold from simply existing. 😍

    Great video. There is a different feeling. presence and energy in the west of Ireland not found anywhere else. You should check out a Sligo author named Joe Mc Gowan. He has written books about the local folklore of Sligo

    Cool video, I’m going to be up that neck of the woods soon… how difficult would you rate the hike up to the caves?

    • @Lunaleodrune
      @Lunaleodrune  3 месяца назад +1

      It is short but quite steep, took us maybe half an hour but the incline is quite steep so be prepared for that or take some breaks if needed :) my mother was able to do it though she wasn’t a fan of coming down!

      Ireland is perfectly safe to visit now, don’t worry. I got it from Claire’s Accessories many years ago
