I forgot to put loctite on the quickshifter once when taking it apart. Went on a ride and within a couple hrs it had completely come loose and was hanging off the bike. Luckily the bolt was still sitting in the hole and I could pull over every 5 minutes to hand tighten it until I got home

If you had taken the Alpha quickshifter cable from above into the coverbox instead of taking in from underneath the fixture; It would have looked more neat and concealed.

That's a good question that gets posed in the forum groups often. Jump in to the "CBR 600rr Nation" or "Honda CBR Owners Group" for folks with very specific expertise, experience, and know how on that specific bike.

That's why I'm so conflicted in which upgraded new bike I want to get. I was thinking about the Yamaha MT07 with it's being so basic, and the only thing you'll have in tech is the ABS, but I still wanted more power, and was looking at the MT09. I like the specs of it, but the fly by wireless, and quick shifter is like deterring me away. I'm conflicted by the two tech which I don't really want on a bike. The MT07 have gotten everything I like in basics, but the larger engine. I might have to get use to all that tech, and just get the MT09

I’ve heard a few saying that you have to do the calibration which is mentioned in the manual, where the ECU learns the gears by having the bike idle in N for 10 seconds then select 1st gear using the clutch and have it run in 1st for 10 secs then change to 2nd using the clutch and repeat all the way up to 6th. This is done with the bike up on a paddock stand of course. This proves my point as Alpha Racing emailed me stating that it’s a plug and play and requires no calibration or setting up at all.
