    Wow I'm blown away at the fact that you said it's not very flickable. I beg to differ, I've been on tons of sport bikes I grew up on Japanese bikes, I've had many types of bikes including the RSV4, this is the best handling motorcycle I have ever owned. I see you're not running the super course SP a taller tire, the taller tire causes you to drop into turns far better than a flatter tire, it looks to me like you're running a flatter type tire, that will take the flick ability away. People need to learn that the type of tire you run also has everything to do with your cornering ability. And the flicability.

    • @primitiveflier
      @primitiveflier  2 года назад +20

      Hey! Thanks for your observation. Not saying you’re incorrect but do keep in mind this is just from my perspective. I had the 2020 RSV4 1100 Factory and it just felt way more nimble than the Ducati - even during the time I had the 60 tall tire SPs on the Ducati..

    • @element7us
      @element7us 2 года назад +13

      Mark I agree with you. The Ducati is definitely the more agile of the two especially with the SP tires. One thing I always recommend to anyone is to get the suspension professionally tuned. This in my opinion is the best mod anyone can do to affect the handling of the bike.

    • @primitiveflier
      @primitiveflier  Год назад +2

      @Da Vee Day! I agree with you for sure there’s a few things you can do like you mentioned to improve handling. At this point I set everything stock with the same exact tires I run on all of my bikes and compare. Thanks for your input for sure ! ✌️

    • @primitiveflier

      V4!! The s1000rr was so unreliable. I owed one and sold it within six months. Water pump fail and engine shut off on me two times mid turn !! Also had a rattling noise on the engine and vibrations were unbearable.

    Videos like this give me the itch to ride again! It's been roughly 8 years! I used to own a 2013 1199S in the Arctic White color before life circumstances forced me to sell it. I had a dark tinted windscreen from Memphis Shades along with a ton of carbon fiber parts.
    The base paint was a glossy pearly white color with flecks of silver metallic in the paint. In the sunlight, it sparkled like freshly fallen snow.
    Hope to get a V4S in the next couple of years. If they made one in that same Arctic White color, it'd be gorgeous!

    • @primitiveflier
      @primitiveflier  Год назад +2

      Not a fan of tinted wind screens as it obstructs your line of sight when tucked. But other than that yes the V4s is a monster!

    Great video. I just bought a 2020 V4s and I already own a 2016 R1M. And honestly the Ducati is way easier to daily than the R1M. The throttle is easy to control and it gets much better gas mileage.
    Neither are made for commuting so you really can’t complain, but I do the the Ducati is easier.

    8:39 nope mate, that is the classic misconception of the automotive world. Is like to say that Maserati or Alfa Romeo as part of the Stellantis Group are enginereed by americans and french and share the same brakes of a Lancia. Companies that are part of a group have their own tax reasons and their own capital, it is not an obligation to share technologies etc, you just have to make a profit and adhere to the guidelines in terms of governance systems, compliance and so no. Then you are completely independent and you only stay in the group if you make a profit. Lamborghini and Ducati are totally developed and designed by Italians in Italy both for electronics, engineering and so on. Having said that, the situation about Lambo is a bit different cause they share some parts with AUDI and Porsche for obvius cost reason cause they both produce cars. Ducati in the VW Group is the only motorcycle company, so Ducati build and develop the products from its R&D Depts e Style Center. How do I know that? Come here in Borgo Panigale :)

But the Ducati is just way more elegant and more practical. H2 is definitely just good for short bursts not a commuter. Plus Panigale you get the fancy ohlins suspension when you get the S model. Finally I can’t imagine the wait times if you need parts on the H2… There’s not a whole lot of aftermarket replacement parts to my knowledge. All the best!

      Free because like I said I do my own basic maintenance like oil change brake fluids brakes, oil filter etc, chain adjust etc…. Be expected to pay roughly $200+ USD if you’re having the dealer work on your bike for routine service…
      $1,5K USD for desmo service.

    Hey man hows the ergonomics on this bike compared to lets say the S1K or the R1? More or less comfortable?

    • @primitiveflier
      @primitiveflier  11 месяцев назад +1

      Ergonomics will vary from rider to rider. What is comfortable for me may be uncomfortable for you. Best bet is to sit on these bikes. I like the ergo's on the R1 the most since I am a bigger rider. 6'2 240lbs. The Ducati is also great for tall riders. The S1K for me was a more upright seating position but I felt more cramped since I have longer arms. Again, these bikes are out on most dealers so you should sit on them before getting it. I know BMW does test rides so you might want to test drive the s1krr since it is very "perfect" in terms of riding.

      @@MikeColeWorld anytime my friend. Check out some of my s1000rr videos I made. It should allow you to make a better decision. I’m gonna be frank I did run into trouble with the s1k. Engine shut off on me twice, rattling noise and also handle bar vibrations and water pump fail within 2 months of ownership. Got rid of the bike and got the Yamaha. Best decision ever. I’d say the Yamaha is unbeatable price to performance right now since the new V4s is a whopping $32K plus fees and taxes. Unless you’re a die hard Ducati guy, the Japanese bikes are pretty damn good!

      @@primitiveflier appreciate some more insight man and yea I’ve seen all of you’re videos on the S1K. I’m pretty much deciding between the BMW & R1 right now. I’ve wanted the R1 for the longest time and finally have the money to buy one but I ride my bikes a lot and like you said in the previous comment I heard from others the ergonomics on the S1K are more comfortable than most other liter bikes so that’s kind of why I’m even considering the BMW. Lol Ughh I’m in a tough spot it would kind of break my heart not to buy an R1 but I’m probably just gonna go sit on one and see how it feels like you said. Plus I’d probably save a ton of money in the long run when it comes down to maintenance costs.

    • @primitiveflier
      @primitiveflier  2 года назад +1

      It’s not that bad for me. Take into account every body is different so i may be comfortable and you may be not. Chances are it will be worse than the V2 because it is bigger engine and you’re at a more aggressive position. If you want comfort i would suggest an adventure bike or the street fighter which is more of an upright bike and much better for your wrists. Or the S1000RR which i just bought!

But I did it cuz I had two bikes that and a S1000RR. Compared to the Panigale the Beamer feels like a Cadillac so comfortable and it has a friggin fuel gauge LoL.
