You can hear it in Jon’s voice at the end he knows this team will be special. The size of this team is what sticks out the most compared last couple of seasons more physical too
The height on the court is insane. Sion is going to be a bully in the paint. Coop already looking like a leader. Year 3 Proctor is going to go crazy. Kon looks like a problem already, he’s my sleeper to have solid minutes next year and get buckets. Khaman looks like he can catch anything in his area. This team is going to be really special to watch, I cant wait for November man.

The 5th starter could be Sion if they want to play Flagg at the 4 or Brown if they like Flagg at the 3. I’d go with Brown because I think Sion could have a bigger role coming off the bench than as a starter. He’s just so dynamic, you want him coming in to dominate, not out there trying to fit in. And Pat is going to play all the C minutes off the bench. I could see a 25/15 split between the two Cs. That’s 7 guys who I think are pretty set already. Evans obviously has the skill and pedigree to earn time and Gillis has the experience to force their way into an 8-9 man rotation. That leaves Kon and Harris as the odd men out. Damn. Malauch is a LOT better than I thought he was. Kon looked like he belonged, Sion is a damn monster and I love seeing the passion already from Coop. This team would roll last year's squad by 20 already.

What makes this team so dangerous is u can’t double and when u do we should be able to swing that ball and make teams pay. With players like foster, Kon, Evans, Flagg should be able to play 1 on 1 and we have a older point guard in proctor and his defense will lead the way as well this team should be special

Kon brings something Duke has lacked, something that has held back teams with great talent but not the smart play you need in March. He is an exceptional playmaker who used his big frame to create space and angles to create for himself and others, and his threat as a playmaker is made greater because he is also a lights-out shooter deep and in the mid-range. He is not as long, fast or hoppy as most Duke recruits but his hoops IQ if off the charts, and I say that having reviewed full game video from him in high school. He's also a smart defensive players who uses his smarts to compensate for a lack of quickness and length. If he can break-even on D, he will make Duke's offence so much better.

Not surprised he's a good kid; his character also shows in the way he plays. He would have been a perfect fit for UVA but I will still root for his success. Duke fans have been slow to even understand what they are getting in Kon -- look at all the comments from Dukies who say he will be "solid." Nope. He'll be the most important player on this Duke team and was the best player in their first inter-squad game.

The cream rises to the top. Let’s just say Evans will have to prove that talent. Can he get to the rim and make plays or is he just a streaky shooter? Is he physical enough to impose his will on both ends of the court. Is he a defensive liability? Hypothetically, let’s say Evans answers all those questions positively and earns 20 minutes. Who would you subtract those extra 10 minutes from?

Outside of Flagg and khaman I’m most confident his defense will translate fast. The kid is the definition of a 3 level scorer: knockdown shooter, smooth mid game and has touch at the rim. The kid is too gifted to not get a boatload of minutes.A top 15 recruit like him didn’t come here to sit on the bench all year
