NY is an awesome place to ride around! Quinn is a beast on her board and I too love riding through traffic in the city. It’s a lot of fun. Question, the conditions looks slightly damp/salted roads. Do you badger your board/do anything to keep the salt and water from damaging your board? Both those factors are some of my biggest fears with my GTS.
Great question. I mistakenly haven’t badgered or water proofed my GTS. Idk why. It’s a really important thing to do! I did it on my GT and my XR. Idk why I haven’t done it in this one. But I agree! Water proofing is essential. Just for ease of mind.
this week they saying we got snow/polar vortex so thats not going to be fun. add to that for whatever reason i have dumb luck with tires. i caught a staple by ocean pkwy 3 months ago, put on an enduro and after about 225 miles i have a mystery slow leak(yesterday was the 1st time i had to walk it home). i guess ill take this down time to fix it.
Damn man, what a bummer! Sometimes we get unlucky with tires. I haven’t purchased a lot from TFL, but I’ve heard they have pretty solid customer service. It might not hurt to reach out to them. Sometimes tires come defective? Good luck my guy! 👊🏾
No worries my dude. I appreciate your insight and comment! I have had some experience with riding vesc boards but I’m not the most knowledgeable with the vesc controller. It makes me nervous and as a result I’ve accidentally messed up settings when I borrowed my buddie’s vesc. - I’m not against it, I just don’t know enough to confidently make the switch over.

Why not switch to VESC? The extra power and torque would really help make for a better ride imo.
