Thank you for registering for @Home Chicago Blues.
Here is a link to the first of the 4 lessons you will receive as taught by your Faculty member.
You will also be receiving an email directly from your Faculty member, welcoming you and asking a bit about you, your music background, and what you are looking to learn from these lessons.
In addition, you will get background on each tune from the Faculty member’s perspective-why the song is important, the history of the song, which Blues artist performs it best (personal choice, of course)
You will receive a tab sheet or musical notation of your lessons.
And you will be receiving an invitation to “Office Hours’ with your Faculty member. This will be a weekly Zoom session running about 20 minutes. These sessions are meant for you to ask questions directly to your teacher, get guidance on playing/performing the song. You will also meet your fellow students studying these songs. It will just be discussion-no playing, no instruments allowed :-)
Finally, we will be sending you an evaluation form once every two weeks to get your feedback and input on to how we can continue to improve this experience for you.
In the meantime, find a quiet place, view the lesson, and start playing along.
Thank you, and if you have any questions, please email: Scott@athomechicagoblues.com

Thanks, could you do a lesson on Tyrone Davis, can i change my mind.
Thanks. I love Muddy Waters. My fave..but he didn't write this song. Ann Cole did.... (he kinda swiped it and didn't give credit...) en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Got_My_Mojo_Working
I Got My Mojo Workin was written by Clarence Gatemouth Brown. Sorry can't watch the rest of the lesson.
Actually it was written by Preston “Red” Foster.
You are correct, I stand corrected, thanks!
You’re welcome. I knew this because back in the 70s I had the good luck to see Muddy at a club in Connecticut called the Shaboo Inn (long since closed). One night at one of Muddy’s shows a friend told me about Foster. Apparently Muddy changed and/or added some lyrics and tried to copyright his version. The whole thing ended up in court. I don’t know the outcome but Muddy continued to perform it.
Pretty good for a girl. Thanks. Really needed help on the rhythm sync. Glad you sang it at the end since I'll be singing and playing this at the Bakersfield Blues jam in two days. Sh..t! I gotta practice and get my mojo workin'.
pretty good for a blues goddess you mean......shes the real deal
Not right either
Dreadful
