You said it Brenno. This track oozes virile vitality...
Four examples of you being wrong:
1) Corey Hart Eurasian Eyes
2) Def Leppard Gods of War
3) Duke Ellington The Mooche
4) Chopin's funeral march
All these start great - and the roll over and dies.

Not exactly - don't you hear the lyrics?
He can't seem to get his mojo working on the girl he is after.
One of the all-time classics. In 1965 you could have gone into any local club anywhere in the UK and the local band would play this. Seminal.
I feel privileged that I was a teenager in Liverpool in the early '60s when the place was exploding with so many blues/R&B- influenced bands. This stuff was everywhere. I didn't really know what the blues was but I knew I loved it. It all led to 'unknowns' in the USA like Muddy, BB, Howlin Wolf, etc. getting the recognition they deserved.

I love the early music, this tune brings back my childhood memories.
If Little Walters harmonica riff in the middle of this song isn't the best ever recorded I don't what is! That man could play - he's the only harp player who ever outshone the singer and rest of the band.
You should watch the live recording with James Cotton playing harp, it's fantastic, quite different to Little Walter's riff, but definitely just as good.
Great, for sure. But not as sublime as his work on I Just Want to Make Love to You in my opinion. And Juke is not too bad either... ;)
Nah man Brian Jones from the stones and Paul Butterfield did this too
@@wiretom Well, even Brian Jones would say Little Walter is the master, I'm only the apprentice. As for Paul Butterfield, good yes, but not in LW's heights,

Merci pirate.

For the uninitiated, "mojo" refers to his prowess at picking up women - but this time the lady isn't interested........"Got my mojo working, but it just don't work on you".
De quand ça date?
When this song was released?
Mai 1997
