I grew up in that area (Wrigley Field, on Kenmore Ave between Grace & Byron St.) back in the early '70's through the late '80's, & as a guitarist, I can tell you just how inspiring she is!!!! My wife & I live in SWFL,( Ft. Myers area 4yrs now) & I gig down here a LOT, & bring that Chicago Blues & jazz/fusion influence with me & it's working out just GREAT!!! I've allways thought that this song is played in E... and I have done that for a number of years. I now understand that this is wrong.... but it can be done... and no one has complained about "the wrong key" when I've preformed it... thank god. Maybe it's a result of the fact that I only knew about Open E when I started to try to play slide. Nowadays I usually use Open G, or D. These two tunings also are a little more gentle to the neck in the long run, due to a looser strain...
