It's good to see some of them at least being donated to historical railroad societies. Would be cool to see the Illinois Railway Museum get one of these.
I hated the hpp8 because I took a train to Baltimore and on the return to Boston they used a HHP8 and it didn't have enough power to pull the train so they had to use a AEM7
Its krazy how they r retireing her she looks in fantastic shape. Y dont they use her as a work loco or a spare if need b if the newer locomotives go in 4 repair's...That's how good she looks does'nt look beat up what so ever.....
Soon aem-7 915 will be restored in 2019 and it won't have lines on it like the other aem-7s and it will be smooth and it will have a new speed limit up to 210mph and it can travel from 125mph to 200mph like the Japanese train and also it will have a summer vacation and it will be in Japan on summer vacation and also it will be shipped thete
Wow, 915 is in great shape! Thank god it was preserved!
It really was in poor shape
I can't believe I was at work when this came through...great catch!

the one true toaster shall be praised by railfans and train fanatics alike. ALL HAIL THE TOASTER
so sad that Amtrak had to take the older ones out of service
I know, but they were old
They were old by only 20 years yet the steam locomotives were kept and they are almost a century old!
5:57 here's something you don't see everyday

NoDawg's Show HHP8 are more powerful than those old locos
HHP-8s should've been rebuilt
It would be pretty cool to see this AEM 7 in an earlier Amtrak livery
Yea

What's with that steam locomotive in the beginning?
G. Lee 89 was about to leave Leman Place when the Amtrak Local brought 915 to Leman Place. 915 stayed until 8618 came.
You caught history

Elijah Trofort where in the world did you hear this????
Cape Main Rail Photography No-where, he likes to go to railfanning videos and scream his pipe dreams. Sorry for being harsh.
Do you think that an ACS-64 will be sent to the rr museum of pa I hope so
Meeper5 RailFanning once they get replaced
Who knows
Cool!
Saved from the scrappers torch
no decription
Why is the engine being sandwiched between a GP38 and a flatcar why not let 915 lead the train?
Doesn't Look Like There's Any Powerlines For Our Top Connect To
there definitley is powerlines but maybe earlier in the journey there wasnt
Resyncs Yea You're Probally Right
Even though there is no power #915 could work like a cab car?
Fallout Fan the e60s were called bricks, and I think the new ACS-64s are called butter.
How many aem7s were preserved
Just 915 as far as I know.
Same for me i only know about 915 but what about the hpp8s
Are any going to be preserved
+bclr railfan I hope not. Those things are mechanically defective hunks of metal.
Far too little
Hi
I drive this in Terminal Railways Roblox
Same, the 915 exists in Northeast Corridor Train Sim too
5:42 was that meant to be a shave and a haircut?? lol
