It’s cause he’s been in pain during the rough ✨childhood. Even though his parents were bad parents he doesn’t want to go further than his pain but obviously they don’t understand their children
Even when it sounds like they are trying to say something nice it comes out underhanded and condescending and they don't even see it. "You picked a good one this time?" Why not just say "You picked a good one. He's a good man."?
This scene! I understand the parents may be hurting, but thethe to see how they have hurt their children. Man a lifetime of this...so glad Buck is in therapy. That’s a lot of trauma to unpack.
I'd say that Buck and Maddie never apologize to their parents. Because both of them forced Maddie never to tell Buck about Daniel, when Maddie got married to Doug they cut her from their lives, never called her or visited. And everything that they both went threw and suffered threw out the years living on the same roof with their parents and the first 3 seasons, they never once checked up on them.
I can definitely see that if he ever came out let's just say for instance his parents would definitely not be very accepting and that could be even more traumatizing
Mrs. Buckley is the main problem, although Mr. Buckley is an obvious enabler. They make *everything* about themselves and *their* feelings. Honestly, Buck should just cut them out of his life and told Maddie in no uncertain terms that if she still wants to deal with them, then she will do so without him being around even when they visit. Biology alone doesn't make a family. As the Buckley's proved by not even making a baby box for Buck just because their focus was on Daniel and Buck was, as he rightfully put it, "spare parts". The Buckley's even had the audacity to say they had to move away after Daniel died because their neighbors (rightfully) judged them for having Buck as a savior baby and openly treating him as such.
Buck's and Maddie's parents are terrible. Poor Buck he tries so hard to make his parents happy. Buck doesn't need them. He has Eddie Bobby, Athena, Hen, Chimney, Maddie ect his real family. A family that loves him.
There is no guide book on being the perfect or near perfect parent. Each child will be different to raise. With that said, a child should be loved unconditionally and given the chance to be their true selfs.
This just goes to show you that not everyone is fit to whole that parent title smh how do you constantly undercut your kids while hyping them up to their face and expect it not to lead into deeper stuff. The worse part is playing the victim and putting it all on the kids as if they weren’t that at the time kids.
If anyone needs a phrase that explains what those horrible excuses for parents are, that has no bad words I’ve got one : a tornado wrapped in a fluffy cloud.
It’s so heartbreaking to see just how little they care about Buck, because after all, he was only made for parts. I’m sorry but it should be illegal to have a kid just to get their blood/bone marrow/anything else for your other kid. There is no possible way for that to turn out good. You were conceived solely to be a resource to constantly suck out of for the child they ACTUALLY love. Sorry if you’ve done this but not really.
Oh man, it broke me when Evan realized they didn't make a baby box for him...
So heartbreaking for Buck that his parents didn’t do a baby box for him I feel so bad for him
Ikr
I've never seen Evan this mad like damn
He’s in pain!,!!!

Yeah they're the king and queen of gaslighting and patronizing and then turning the tables on them and acting offended...
Ever heard the phrase “a tornado wrapped in in a fluffy cloud”? That’s what went through my head as I watched this scene unfold.
Self-absorption and passive-aggressiveness often go hand-in-hand.

He deserves a break for goodness SAKES
The way chimney looks at buck when he says “to understand how much pain he was in”🥺
The way chimney look at buck when he says to understand how much ravie he was in😊
Love the way buck takes up for Maddie

The parents should be the ones to apologize! Maddie played a mother role for Buck, since a very young age because they were unable to care for him
Gosh... they seem horrible. Athena and Bobby are more loving parents to them.
Bobu and Antena are more like parents to both of them than anyone else
I can definitely see that if he ever came out let's just say for instance his parents would definitely not be very accepting and that could be even more traumatizing
That's so Upsetting especially for Buck.

Can’t believe they ain’t done a memory box for even just shows how they didn’t care for him
I'm surprised that did a box for Maddie. Seem to me, that the only Buckley child they loved, was the one who died.
They didn't even get him a baby box and they wonder why their "son" doesn't wanna talk to them ... there are SO many things wrong with this.
Evan (Buck) is very strong. I'm just getting to know them and he's really hurting inside. But I don't think anything can keep him down.
I woke up at 4am so i can see this ;-;
Same!
I woke up at 5am 😂😂😂
I love it❤️❤️❤️
Hating the parents so much
They aren't only irresponsible for cutting their children off and then judging them, but it's also cowardly. They should be ashamed of themselves.

I feel sorry for every single character on this drama. They deserve better. 😢
