James, it's much appreciated how you clear the air with your line of questioning right away (why buy?>price point>where are they made?>turkey). Your attorney is poking through.
Yeah, I thought James was gonna ask to treat him as a hostile witness...
Yeah he intimidates them a little with the subject changes and rapid fire questions, but it’s a lot better for viewers. That dude did a good job though considering he had James and a bagel field going on at the same time.
Rapid firing questions is one of the best ways to get people to be honest. It doesn't give you time to come up with some BS answer.
I think the most important part that wasn't talked about is the fact that the Frames, slides and barrels on these 2011 pistols is hammer forged. As well as no cast or MIM parts in the guns.
Thanks! No MIM makes these a real consideration. I had a bad experience with MIM on a Kimber so now I avoid it like the plague.
@@heythere4970 I once had a bad exoereith on my upper thigh, but the doctor scraped it off with a scalpel and gave me a shot.
Exactly my thoughts. I’m grabbing the MAC as soon as they come into my LGS.
Thanks for that information, def going to look them up
Mine gets here Thursday!!!
I’m just imagining this guy with a dip lip siting cross legged around the hookah at a board meeting in Türkiye 😂
Lolol
I want to hear him speak Turkish with that accent.
Good thing he's not in sales! Lol
That guy is doing an unparalleled job. He is responsible for one of the most successful firearms manufacturing lines in history. They came from a budget, who are they to a look/buy first 1911. Thats one of the hardest guns to build and sell. I build customs as a Gunsmith for THE tier 1 company. (You know who) They are building a gun we could never build at that price.
James is simply THE best GunTuber. He does EVERYTHING possible to lead manufacturers and vendors along providing them the opportunity to represent their products.
Dude the audio on this is WILD
These are some of the worst things to listen to. Sounds like a guy is shooting directly into a steel plate 5 feet away 😂
So annoying that it becomes hilarious.
@@johnsterne967😂😂😂😂
As much as people hated the SA Prodigy, you have to give it props. Budget 2011s have been coming out like crazy since a major manufacturer released one.
They walked so others could run
People realizing it's dumb to pay 2-10k for a 9mm handgun? Shocking.
Props for what? Getting people to waste their money?
@@kylebradley3 , I don't think the Prodigy is a waste of money. I think it's a decent 2011 style pistol for the price if you're interested in that platform. Every company has lemons, send it back for repair if something is wrong or find out what's causing the issues and fix it yourself. Not completely sure, but it seems Springfield has corrected most of the issues in there newer models. Honestly, at $1,000-$1,500, I think a person is better off buying a CZ or a Tanfoglio.
@@jdontcare8520The Prodigy is a MUCH better gun than this turd….I handled these at SHOT….
In my observation I'm more inclined to trust the QC on Turkish handguns than I am their shotguns.
Great questions James. Thank you!
The real hero are TFBTVs microphones
This guy sounds like Tommy Lee Jones. I'm picturing him showing off the Noisy Cricket.
Show this guy the clip of TLJ ranting about glocks 😂
Good report, thanks.
Ran a few of these grips through the laser for laser stippling. Adds better grip versus factory texture.
Was waiting to see James pull some old 147 gr hollow points out of his pocket to see if they would run. Picked up a MAC JSOC 1911 a few months ago. Groups better than I expected at the price point.
This. might have to sell my apollo 11 and try this before I've even shot it, since videos show it really hating HP, kills it for carry. Do want to try milder tip hp like polymer tipped crit duty.
GAINES!!!!! 🤗🤗
Great interview! I need/want one of those Night Stalkers so much!
Love the confidence in the product from this guy. I may have to snag one
James Reeves: What’s this model called?
Guy: This is the genocider I can’t take my finger off the trigger model
I love every tisas gun I've bought so far ... Im kinda shocked how good they run truthfully and the costs are stupid good.
Well the average yearly salary in Turkey $5,000 USD a year so....
This is really tempting for the price. Looking forward to the reviews.
They haven't been good so far, look it up.
@@Prodigysportsman 🤣 Look up what? The gun has barely been released. There are not many that have reviewed the guns in this video. All of those vids thus far have been good.
@@unixfool to be fair, I might have gotten this confused with the Girsan Witness 2311. thehumblemarksman and
Honest Outlaw both had a lot of problems
that night stalker is a very attractive pistol... if it runs well, that could really change the market for 2011s
I have a tisas stingray carry. Love it. I will have a Tisas double stack
These look rad!
I just bought the duty and carry models today. I'm dehumanizing
Definitely impressed. They're the softest shooting 1911 I've ever fired.
Love all the firing and bangs going on in the background 🤣 🇺🇸
Is the night stalker the only model with threaded barrels?
Great Guns 💪🏾
LOVE my tisas duty
These Turkish 1911s are a total surprise. For the price range they are just wildly high quality guns. I'd buy a MAC 9.
I have a Tisas Zigana KC and it is by far my favorite pistol, over my SIG, M&P, any 1911s,... It is a compact all steel hammer fired 9 with a decocker that has a ported slide and barrel. Shoots like a dream and i paid 325 bucks for it. I'm a believer in Turkish pistols. I'm team Tisas and Canik all day.
The Shoot-out scene from Harlem Nights with Richard Pryor amd Eddie Murphy 😂
I have the apollo 11 from lfa and its been great
I'm just waiting for these to become readily available.
MAC makes some great 1911s. I have one of their higher end single stacks and it's fantastic. Very smooth.

Heyyyyyyyyyy what was that intro music? I like that filtered P bass vibe.
this is my type of range
One of the biggest differences to note, TISAS are RMSC while the MAC is RMR. Also the TISAS are definitely gonna be more mim'd and forged parts. Amazing price points for any option.
There are no MIM parts on Tisas 1911s or 2011s anymore. Those days are long gone.
Budget 2011’s yes please.
"nightstalker" hahahahahahaha
I have the Night Stalker 10 mm and the .45 Colt clone. Both are very smooth, great triggers, tight fit, nice finish. No high round count yet. So far first day very happy. Ive shot the Dan Wesson and some other expensive stuff. I would say the 9 mm Dan Wesson granted a 3k gun was leaps above Tisas ones I have. Here is the catch, the two I have are dancing with the 2k line ups. Meaning 26-32% (2.5k-2k) to get into a nice 10 mm and the .45 ACP 15.8-19.75% (2.5k-2k). Can you buy better, sure but I would say based on the many Ive tried out or own. You’re starting at about $1600 to get a similar equivalent to start.
It seems the Platypus is another to look at averaging about 2k and reviewers are comparing it to just under something like a Staccato. As I recall never shot a Staccato so reviews are the best I get like many others. I will note that Dan Wesson I did shoot changed my opinion of 1911 pistol. I can see the right maker and caliber its like no other pistol experience. I would like to give the Platypus a shot. In short the Tisas so far to me is an easy buy under 1200k prices at about half the price.
Too anyone with a Tisas 1911 they done a soft recall on a few models 1911 check their website.
Only in .45 caliber and it was on their raider and a few other models.
Still better CS than anything I've experienced with my Sig products 😅
Have owned about 20 1911s but never a "2011". Saw this video and lost interest when they talked about the price. That's a bit expensive for a Turkish 1911 from my experience of owning a Girsan and a Tisas. However, I was on Buds this morning and saw they were selling for 745. Instant buy! Can't beat that price while including optics cutout. Can't wait to test it out!!
Two days ago, SDS Imports/Tisas issued a safety recall for their 1911 in 45 ACP and 10mm, due to hammer follow. Nightstalker, Raider, Duty Enhanced and Rep of TX models.
It happens. You can handle it like Tisas, or you can handle it like sig.
Glad they actually did a recall unlike another company
Great audio
Is this available in 10 rd for those of us in restricted states?
Thats a nice pistol
Never owned or shot a 1911/2011 but their 1911 Army model in 9 or 45 has rave reviews and it’s less than $400. That’ll likely be my first foray into them.
Tisas Tribute gun for Richard Ramirez the “Night Stalker” sweet. Great name.
This is the new 5” Richard Ramirez, comes in killer coating..
James, please move to the auto line or even the howitzer line next time....... sheeeee 😂😂
Wish they had a full length dust cover model.
They do. It's the Night Stalker version in the video.
Glad to hear the pronunciation from someone that knows how it's supposed to sound. Thanks for that if nothing else!
No one respects nor cares about Turkey to pronounce it properly. Ya’ll are basically Iran’s and Russia’s allies at this point. No NATO allie trusts Turkey.
GAME CHANGER! Just watch.
I have to test one if it can stand me then its good

What happened to the dump truck in the blue jeans?
It would be great it they could get the mags down to $35.
Drives me crazy when people refer to guns that cost over $1000 as being affordable.
Compared to the cost of the Stacatto it is
@@TheRealMelinko
True, but that's like saying a $125,000 GTR is affordable compared to a $250,000 Ferrari
Quit being broke, 2011’s are expensive even when they are budget. Just like night vision you have to pay to play.
Do they make a 45 double stack?
It’s relative. A year ago, the cheapest 2011-patterned gun was a Prodigy, which was $1500. A Staccato is $2000. So, yeah, for a 2011, $1000 is cheap.
Close your eyes. He sounds like Tommy Lee.
They all look pretty handsome I hope they get tne would love to see the results
Tisas is burning it down!!!
Right before that massive recall….
Sadly, many great guns go through recalls too. 1911 style handguns can be finicky if not maintenence and properly maintained.
This one of the reasons I went from 1911 to Glock 30fs. The other reason was ability to have more rounds. I tried many different extended mags but all had issues with certain ammo.
The Double Stack 9mm's are very intriguing to me. These Tisas seem a good option. I have owned Caniks since 2015, way before they became popular in the mainstream. Owned three now an have zero complaints about craftsmanship or performance.
Best accessories out the box in the industry to me.
I am very interested in these Double Stack 9mm's.
Those must be some big 1/4” plates, fucking loud lol.
If they run like Caniks and there are no corners cut it may be a game changer
Jesus.... Do the Platypus already.... You guy's keep doing 2011's and avoid touching one of the most interesting ideas put out in the last 15 years... They were also at Shot Show introducing new items.
Stealth Arms doing the dab and floss on all the other 19/2011 makers.
Stealth is made in Ohio so it is on the top of my list.
Didn't James discuss the Platypus with Twista?
@@rickh9396 If he did, it would've been Twista covering it at that point and not TFB
@@Mrjohnnymoo1 So TFBTV didn't "cover" anything at SHOT Show? According to your formulation, there was always some company rep "covering it," not TFBTV.

So, is it using a plate system or is cut for a RMR?
It will come with a plate. Their website reads "Optic Plate Adapter w/ Rear Sight for RMR Footprint Optics".
@@jw5163 thank you, maybe you should be the rep

If your worried about a gun being made in turkey by a reputable company you should also be worried about that glock you been carrying everyday.
Tried to listen with headphones...no go 😅
Now just make a double stack 10mm😏
Well at least he didn't interview them in a noisy environment, where half of what was said couldn't be picked up by the mic. Whew, i mean aren't you glad he did the show and tell in a fairly quiet locale, and B Rolled in the range day footage...just like normal.😂🇺🇸👍🇺🇸
Imagine the Nightstalker as exhibit A in your self defense trial in front of Gen X and Boomers that remember Richard Ramirez. GL 😂
@5:01 "all ambi controls" .
Tisas is the first gun company to make an invisible slide stop on the right side of a gun, and compare it to a competitors gun with 2 visible slide stops, how intuitive.
How "as the director of product management" who "works in the factory's over there" do you make the claim of being "all ambi controls"?
Gaines is the second coming of John Moses Browning
>"Low-cost"
>"Over $1,000"
Choose one.
Glock mags??
$750.00 street price.
They're nice( I've handled the Girsans at least). But what killed that was a 7lb single action. That is inexcusable for a 1911-2011. They could have made at least a 5lb. 3.5lbs even better. But the fit and finish on these were pretty nice.
So is the Girsan the same gun as the Tisas?
@epps1217 pretty sure they're made by the same people. Same importer.. Certainly the same quality.
@@richdubbya they are two separate companies. They’re NOT made by the same people. These guns have barely even been released yet, and no reviewer has ever shown a Tisas DS or MAC 2011 has a 7 lb trigger.
Which video did you see a Tisas DS having a 7# trigger? Cite a source.
This is how internet garbage rumors start.
@unixfool I am referring to the companies. And yes, the Girsan 2011 is out and has been reviewed. Versions of these pistols HAVE been released. Maybe not THESE particular models. My mistake on them being different companies. They are sold by the same importer in the US.
And as if you're the arbiter of truth.. 🤣
@@richdubbya versions of this gun have only just recently started being released.
Yes, we're talking about THESE PARTICULAR GUNS IN THIS VIDEO.
Please show us a review published in the past 2 weeks of these double-stack Tisas guns that you say have failed.
They are NOT sold by the same importer, man. SDS Imports is the importer for Tisas. EAA is the importer for Girsan. That's your second mistake.
Look at each website's About Us page. Look at their address and other company info. Ask one of their sales folks if they are the same company.
I don't have to be the arbiter of truth to get this specific topic right. It's simple and clear. They're two different companies.
Your brain is running on 3 of 8 cylinders, I think. 😅🤣😂
The way this guy is just nonchalantly putting his hand in front of the barrel and waving that pistol around 😮
And he was on the trigger for the first 2 minutes
Glock compatible rear sights
I want the MAC-5 as well. Too many guns and not enough wallet for the wants.
200th like!!! Lol Now if only we could hear a god damn thing!! Haha
Theese guys really need a better sales guy, James pretty much did everything for him. Maybe hire someone who knows what the fuck he’s talking about . Maybe some one like me lmao 😅
Maybe not review the gun at an active range with guns going off right next to your mic.
Normally I know at SHOT its pretty much impossible to have a gun *not* pointed at somebody on the floor where all the guns are verified dry, but this fella has no compunctions about pointing the gun at his hand with his finger on the trigger here at the live range
The Night Stalker!? That's a HORRIBLE name for a handgun with a threaded barrel.
Right? Imagine the look on your defense attorneys face when they find out the name of the gun in prep for a trial. They would want to slap their client 😂
Bold, two days after the recall and all.. haha
So, they should’ve done like Sig then? Recalls are mechanisms to get guns that have potential issues fixed. Recalls by themselves are not bad.
That rep needed a lot of coaching from James to argue why these guns are appealing. I’ve been very pleased with my Tisas pistols so Im confident that these will be good. However, it seemed like the rep wasn’t super well-versed in promoting the products and highlighting how they are different from other 2011s besides the price, which James had to lead him to.
He’s an engineer not a salesman
@@Ryan-kj2bl I would expect either a salesman or an engineer from a company to be able to explain the features and benefits of a given product. Even if they cannot directly compare to competitors’ products, they should be able to at least explain things that are notable about their design. For instance, “we do not use any MIM parts,” “our trigger pull is X.X pounds,” “we applied a XXX finish.” These are things that I would hope an engineer, who helped design and/or QC to convey, based on his intimacy in the design/manufacturing process and things that I would hope a salesman would use as taking points to portray his product in a positive light.
Regardless, I’m glad that James was able to get the information out and I’m optimistic about all the affordable 2011s coming to market!
That’s James’ interviewing style. That’s how all of his interviews go. He drives the replies.
It’s not that the rep wasn’t familiar with the gun, as he answered every question with confidence.
Plus, did you not hear the guy explain that he’s an engineer? He isn’t a salesman.
@@unixfool I’ve seen plenty of his other interviews. He’s a great interviewer and tries to set the interviewee up for success. In this interview, he had to do far more coaxing than normal.
@@Ryan-kj2bl I understand that. And that is even more reason as to why he should have been able to highlight the allure of these pistols. Engineers, more so than salesmen, know and understand the mechanics, materials, finishes, etc. of products.
Mom, I want a Staccato!
Son, we have a Staccato at home.
At Home: * This *
I had a couple Titsauce pistols. The slide frame and barrel were good but in typical Turkish fashion they stuffed the gun with junky parts. That was a couple years ago they may have improved the guns now. Some Turkish guns are outstanding but some are terrible. Its a crap shoot with them. You may get the golden child or you may get the golden turd.
Bookmark this video people; this is the individual that'll need to know allllll the kinks that will need to be worked out once these are in citizens hands.
James had to pull the basic shit out of this guy. I question just how close he works in the "factory".
Turkey is 20 years ahead of the USA in the machining industry. Sad but true.
Based on what?
Hahahahahaha!!
Does it take Glock mags?
Nope it takes the prodigy, staccato and others
no
They literally just had a recall on their Tisas 1911's. 👀
Lots of manufacturers have done recalls. I care more about how they address it and take care of their customers which Tisas seems to be handling very well.
When tisas dropped their 1911s a few years back I checked them out. Had one with insanely soft metallurgy. Locking lugs peened and deformed. They upped the QC and seems hit or miss today
I try not to knock it before I try it but their quality isn’t too reliable
@@hailtothe_rooster1572 Apparently in 2022 they stopped using MIM parts in favor of forged.
Well, the recall was on certain 1911 models, not all, and it was because the hammer “could” follow the slide home when you rack in a round but that hasn’t actually been a problem. It is a preemptive safety measure. Shit happens and Tisas is fixing it. Smith and Wesson, SIG, and a bunch of other non-Turkish manufacturers have had issues.
@@hailtothe_rooster1572 they have far better quality now than a few years back. SDS Imports has been helping with that.
Remember to always pick up your gun with your hand infront of the muzzle and your finger on the trigger just like this "competition shooter". No need to waste time moving your finger from the slide to the trigger. Honestly i just wish i had thought of it sooner.
$1000 is a "budget" gun??? AND it's out of Turkey???? What a joke
Only place to get an honest review is the Honest Outlaw.
Good God the slide did not want to rack.
Complete garbage but people got to be paid.
What’s the deal with the Ottoman Empire anyway ? An entire civilization based on putting your feet up ?
When did "just over a thousand" become low cost?
google Les Baer or Nighthawk and you'll find out
Look at...any 2011 and you'll see why that's "budget" in that circle.
It's 1911s/2011s, you're talking about a space where consumers gladly and willingly allow themselves to be gouged. Tisas is one of the few manufacturers who seem to actually put a fair price on their units.
