@@Mctrippzy I am still learning too. Working from home and the pandemic has encouraged me to get back into it. I only have a serissa and a chinese elm at the moment. hope you and your family are keeping safe.
@@therealSais That is just the sort of thing tree sadists would say..... Come to think of it, the tree might be a masochist... "yeah baby, that's the spot. More, more. Dig those nails in" etc, etc.
They all look very nice but i think a big part of the beauty of Bonsai (to me) is the time factor. Maybe i'm the one who misses the point, but i have always seen Bonsai as a kind of time capsule, and if a young tree is just shaped into something pretty, it's a little (a little) empty....
I think you have to consider that this is where the art side of bonsai comes in. Trees are never just plucked out of the ground and kept as is in Bonsai, they are always pruned and shaped with a design in mind. Wether the end result being something instant or kept in mind for years /decades down the road.
@@RusselGomez I'm not critisizing them, obviously there's different markets, some people want a nice Bonsai today. For myself, i just like to watch the whole process develop over years and see it get old alongside me. Sentimental value, and good for my inner zen i guess :)
I agree. There’s something missing. Maybe it’s the video format that was chosen that presents it more as a quick fix disposable commodity rather than a process of patience.
No veo la necesidad de tener una poda tan agresiva y sacrificar tantas ramas. Además el crecimiento de los árboles da más posibilidades. Ella solo podo y corto
The best word I can find for you is ARTIST! That was amazing. May I ask. What result do you get when you chip away at the trunk. And what did you apply to the trunk?
Maybe not what you're looking for. But they remove bark to show the raw wood and they apply a lime sulfate which kills and brightens that specific spot. This makes whats called dead wood and it's for aesthetics
To jest prawdziwy artysta ---to jest PIĘKNE PIĘKNE
Dope but damn that’s a lot of stress on a tree all at once
that's nothing for them big ass roots lols
Yeah junipers store energy in there foliage he removed a good like 80 percent would like to know if it actually made it
it’ll be fine

That's actually insane but cool. If I did this, I would probably just snap the tree in two!
