From a rather modest desk, you transform it into a unique creation. The pattern you designed on the drawers mimics your beautiful decoupage papers. This one would be worth reproducing for sale!!! Just lovely Lel, I simply adore your style. You can do no wrong.... Thank you. One other thing I've noted now that winter is about here, is that you seem to be working in a rather chilly studio, having to bundle up hat and all. A nice wood-burning stove would do the trick. Next, you'll be wearing gloves when you paint.
Oh Sydney it gets cold in the stable in the winter usually I start painting over in the house in the boot room but it's just been decorated and had new flooring and you know what kind of mess I can make.... Ha ha ha Thanks so much for your truly kind comments... Its appreciated Lel x x
Ha ha no I didn't win but its the fun of the challenge. Yes this was way more simple to be honest I was thrown with the bare wood element so I ran with a simple but elegant set of drawers. Lel x x Yes it was cold ha ha hope you are well?
Hi Cindy, It's Martyn, Thanks for the compliment but sanding is easy, you just need patience and a few different grades of sandpaper. which I have lots off both, We all know where the real talent is in this team. It was all Lel..... Thanks anyway and thanks for watching and commenting, We both love what we do and we love that people like you like what we do. xx Have a wonderful day.
This is so perfectly done! I love the blue with the wood, and the colors of the drawers really complement and make it look elegant. The green handles are just enough of an offset to make it interesting and still complementary. It’s perfect. ❤❤❤❤❤
You are in my opinion by far the best furniture painter. You & Martin do the most incredibly detailed and visual pleasing videos. I have learned so much from watching your videos. You have given me so much information, incredibly confidence in my thoughts and furniture processing. You have really inspired me to go way out of my comfort zone now. I just cannot thank you enough.
Wow, thank you! That is so very kind of you I appreciate your kind comment x And I think it's very kind of you to take the time to write me this message. Much love Lel x
Yes I'm glad it's not all wood colour is also my jam. I was unsure what to do in this challenge as I always paint furniture but it all worked okay in the end. Thanks for watching flora x
Another beautiful piece! I especially love the unpainted wood. I think I need a “Martin” to help me out with a few things !😂😂😂 You two are amazing together ❤️
You truly are an artist Lel. In every sense of the word. I am definitely not the sharpest tool in the shed Lol. That is an American expression. But it wasn’t till I was watching your video that you made just before this that it hit me why you call your channel made by Marley. Yeah Mikki really🤦🏻♀️. It hit me because I was thinking wow how wonderful that she gets to do this with her husband and they make such an amazing team. That’s when the lightbulb 💡 went off in my brain. It’s a combination of both your names, Duh Mikki🤪🤣🤣🤣
Actually Mikki I think you are the first ever to get it no one does. So you are very much the sharpest tool.... People just call me Marley and I don't mind I'm happy to run with that yes it's our names.... You are the first I usually have to explain to people. Go you x x Lel x
I've been watching your incredible video tutorials for a few weeks and I have enjoyed every minute. I am in awe of your bravery, bold designs and creations of works of art in the truest sense. Inspired and beautiful I look forward to all of your videos. Hugs from California.

Hi Mikki, Its Martyn Thanks so much for watching and commenting. We love hearing what everyone thinks. She was right, it does look nice lol xx
I love the look you achieved on the drawers and of course the bare wood. I've never seen so few embellishments on a piece of yours. It's a nice change but I'll welcome back your maximally when it returns😘

Wow!!! What a gorgeous piece of furniture you created. When you started making the dots and squiggles with the gold, I thought Ahhh, that girl's after my own heart. Do you dream in those vivid colors? I would love to know what your first inspiration was for doing the Indian and Bohemian designs and colors you do. Neither is something I would have thought of, but after watching your videos and looking at the furniture on your website, it's something I would love to try. It looks awfully cold where you're working. Are you in a cellar? I don't have heat in the room where I'll be working once I get my translation project out of the way. You give me courage!
Awww thanks that's a very nice comment, I guess I just live colour and I'm totally inspired with Indian pattern and design.... My studio is a large stable in my garden its over 200 years old and there's no heating... Ha ha I just jump around ha ha Love Lel x
