I've been following and watching you now for a few months and you have inspired me to complete a few great projects. Keep up the great work - you two are a delight to watch.
Another jaw dropping, heart pounding, mind blowing creation!!! I just love how you blend and weave together all those different textures and mediums. Super stunning and beautiful! Another mould i have to order now. 🤯🎨💚🤯🎨💚🤯🎨💚🤯🎨💚
Lel! The only person in the entire world who can say it’s too busy so let’s put on more and make it look less lol. It’s beautiful. I love it, but I also would have loved it when the birds were the focal when they became the background I was so very pleased you put on the butterflies it’s absolutely brilliant love love love!
Thanks fern I guess I just wanted it one piece without a foreground. It is easy to achieve this if you want the stencil to be the focal point, just don't apply decoupage to the middle. Then do the paint in the centre of the drawers then tone it down so there's a larger part of negative space, then apply the stencil. So either or will work x x
This decoupage paper is wonderful. I sat down, having moved my desk, from the potting shed to the vacant position in my shed. Popped on Made by Marley for Sunday afternoon viewing. I think it's called serendipity, lol.
Wow! That was a awesome tutorial! Since i used that paper on a project already the colors you used made so much more sense to me. I need to loosen up a bit, i am trying to duplicate the paper so closely, when i could work it alot more losely and open with less design and detail on the transitions. Although the pieces i was working on were smaller and didnt need that big of transitional painting on them. Its heck being a perfectioist! Learned alot today, including my own approach, thanks guys!!
I learn something from y’all every Sunday. The fan tip brush to make the rough blended pattern was damn genius. I was reclined back and actually sat up to watch that one😂. It is your techniques that I am fascinated with. The fact that a non-artist can easily outline a stencil is just so wonderful. Of course in this episode I learned from Martyn that vintage ( like me, circa 1968) is soooo retro cool and “in”. Go Raiders!!!!! I have to agree with Martyn… a gray hoodie is always perfect. For my Todd it is his braided beard😂😂😂❤❤❤
A fan brush is a great wee tool. Marty's vintage top was lost in the post. He was very sad..... However I didn't let him wear the grey hoodie to the party 😂😂😂😂😂
This is a wowzer piece for sure and Martyn had the perfect word to describe it. From an uninviting piece to pure elegance. So loved the surprise of the birds on the inside and your paper is totally yummy. I don't have that one yet but I will! Lel, you always put me in a stuperous awestruck trance as I watch you work your pure magic. That was a great thing as I totally forgot about my recovery pain through the entire video! Love you guys. Thank you for another Sunday of learning and pleasure. BTW, I especially loved watching you work the molds, and paint them, as well as the addition of the fussy cut moths and gold leafing work. Shoot I always learn so much and get so many ideas!!❤️❤️xxx
Oh it makes me excited when you tell me you were getting so many ideas... I am happy that you like the furniture but also very thankful that you take the time to watch x x
This is brilliant and a classic Lel. OMG! I cannot wrap my head around how you blend that gorgeous decoupage paper so that it kind of disappears into the background yet adds everything to the piece. 🤷♀️. Another fantastic tutorial I’ll have to watch in pieces to manage to pick up all the tidbits. Thanks for all you do. Wow. And Martyn makes the video teaching process into yet another masterpiece. What a team.
Awww that's such a kind comment, thanks so much. It's really just about creating the layers , we are always so grateful that you continue to watch us x
I agree with the lovely Martin --it is sumptuous! I learn something important from every week. It is such a joy to watch your creative mind problem solve. I also appreciate that you don't edit out the oopsie- daisies thank you! You. Are.The.Best.
Wow, Lil, it came out really nice. I like the stencil over the decoupage paper. It makes it look hand painted. Love the green on the inside, too, with the gold birds.
Gorgeous, I haven't painted for quite a few months after having a car accident, just lost interest but seeing this has given me a bit of motivation to get going again.
Well done, as always! Sumptuous indeed! I would want to keep this one! Don't apologize for anything Lel, we need to hear what you have to say! The cough actually sounds less tight, so that's a good thing! This is my favorite type of furniture art, this and French country or French provincial. However, I have loved ALL the projects you have done! I cannot wait to be able to have a place where I can do even little projects and participate in the group! I love the faux tile little end table you just did. Until then, I just keep soaking up your teaching! Martyn, thank you for always getting the good angles while filming! The music choices are always perfect as well! Much love to you both. 💟💟
I can't wait for you to have space jenny, you sound like such a creative person. And when you do I think your pieces will be fabulous as you have all the knowledge to go for it..... Thanks for watching our coughs are better x x x
Wow this looks fabulous. I love the addition of gold leaf to the piece too. I hope you both get over your colds soon. You’ve had a run of it lately. Get better.
loving this and love watching how .it comes together and your so easy to understand where your coming from tho you don't think so 😂. Martin loves everything you do bless him

I'm so glad to meet you sigourney, I'm glad you are a boho queen. I'm looking forward to seeing the outcome of you changing your mind and painting what you want on your chest. I'm so glad you enjoy watching and that decided to comment. Thanks so much for subscribing. Love Lel x
Decoupage hides a multitude of sins, but your point about weighing the options is duly noted. Moulds are another favorite of mine. Reusable is always nice, but I have found Apoxy Sculpt is great for sculpting and moulds. Always a pleasure waking up to team Made by Marley and finding inspiration. Hugs from the Redwoods.
Finally finished watching 🤣🤣🤣 I knew and you knew this would bevright up my alley...love it. I am working on a desk like that at the moment (the snake one). I will get to my chinoiserie one soon 🧡🧡🧡
WOW 😲, It is absolutley gorgeous beautiful. I llove everything about it. I wish I could do something like this, I'm so going to try someday. AMAZING Lel, and Martin I hope your vintage RAIDERS, IS OAKLAND RAIDERS, I was born n raised in the Denver metro area, but the Denver Broncos, or as I call them Denver Donkeys, never ever my team. When I was 9 years old I became an Oakland / Los Angeles Raider fan, untill a few years ago that they went to Vegas Nevada. So now I dont have a team I favor. LOL
Tonia can you believe it... Marty's top went misding the courier never delivered it.... And although he will get a refund there will not be the same top as they are hard to find in the uk.... He was very sad x x
