First Run! New Paint WTNN B40-8 1608 Leads Turn T92-05 on 8/5/24

- After learning the disappointment of the C30-7 duo being sidelined for the B40-8W duo on the T92 job, we got an ironic surprise when the crew said they would adding 1608 to the front, the newly repainted B40-8 sporting the new WTNN scheme. It had been unveiled a couple weeks earlier but had yet to be used, making this the first run of the new scheme and number. While at the yard the widecabs pulled high to the switch north of Magnolia Street, where I got them coming back south before 1608 was put up front. I really like the new scheme with my only issues coming from the slightly misaligned stripe when it meets the radiator and the strange but unique triangle logo. I was glad we were able to be the first to document the new face of the WTNN in action, but was it worth the cost of not seeing the C30-7 duo? The other two present would say no.

Interesting day we had for sure… Dash 7’s would have been the best for the day, but hard to argue over some fresh new paint!
I definitely agree. The best part of the day was either the Mexican or that backlit coal train leaving Fulton

What does the schedule for the WTNN look like nowadays? I have not visited since 2019 so I am certain some stuff has changed.
I think the T93 Humboldt job runs daily weekdays while T92 runs to Fulton and back as needed during the week. Everyone else is at night
So the Poplar Corner job is a night run too? I knew Corinth was a night run.
