Harvesting pumpkins is traditionally a labour intensive job and hard work. Every pumpkin has to be cut from the stem, lifted from the ground and put in boxes. All by hand. This job is revolutionised by new innovative machinery such as this Lemac PO 150 K automatic pumpkin harvester.
It picks up the pumpkins from the ground, removes the haulm and gently places the fruits in wooden boxes. Only 2 to 3 people are required instead of maybe 10 when it is all carried out by hand. The quality is not compromised and these pumpkins will end up in the supermarkt for human consumption.
